Go with a 1/2” thick HD 5’ x 7’ trailer mat that’s wide enough to cover the entire bed. Bonus: you will have enough material left over to place a nice rubber mat in front of your rolling toolbox in your garage.

This is a great find. I’ll also recommend you check your local Southern States or TSC for a horse stall mat, if you want something more substantial.

I'm really interested to know whether a liner/mat like this cuts down on dust in the bed. I know that it suffers from the typical intrusion through the seams in tailgate like any truck, but what I want to know is if that is all I have to account for in dust sealing, or if it's all of the crevices in the unique drop in bed liner. I suspect a lot of dust is sucked up from underneath the vehicle and not just through the tailgate.

Is a great item. That load had a crappy shipper/ handler. They look like they were float in a lake for months, like Xmas trees.

$29 at Home depot. 100% rubber mat. 4x6. Perfect. Why pay $299 elsewhere? This mod, since it doesn’t go around the wheel well jumps, allows for easy opening of the spare tire/storage trunk in the bed floor.

Yep, that's the exact one we found and use as well. Works perfectly! The rubber grips most everything you put in the bed. I really can't recommend this solution more!!

How did you cut it to fit lengthwise?

I used a pair of old Cutco scissors and cut straight across, between the raised squares. Was easy. Then I flipped the cut edge to be against the front of the bed - leading the finished end by the tail gate. Perfect.
