My Rivian Guide just reached out to let me know my R1T is ready for delivery process. A few hours later I received a ‘Preliminary Buyers Agreement’ by email. Could this really be happening?

I'm guessing they it'll be almost all purchase agreements for the next 3 weeks or so given how far out Godfodder is.

I am sure they will be counting those as pending delivery but even if they don't they will have the numbers to backup everything I believe. Either way I think when they say within 4 weeks that window could also be shorter as well.

Keep in mind, Ford started having folks signing or agreeing to the same thing for Lightning orders back in January before production was even scheduled.

I just (like literally 2 min. ago) for off the phone with my Guide. You aren't going to believe me, but he said there is a truck in the plant right now with my name on it! He isn't exactly sure what stage it is in, but he is going to try and hunt it down! Delivery in 4-6 weeks!

I read this the other day and 'liked' it as really positive news.

Somehow the forum cookie didn't get set right and I got back to this post. And I actually absorbed the fact that a truck with your name on it is on the factory floor and will be available in 4-6 weeks. On reflection, while good news that you will have a truck in 4-6 weeks, I'm not sure this is good news for the rest of us . That is, *IF* it continues to take 4-6 weeks to build from start to finish.

But it is what it is; and I'm thankful that some sort of ramp does indeed appear to be happening. I'll be ready whenever the truck is!

So that timeline also includes transportation, prep, and scheduling delivery. The build process is only a small portion of the overall schedule, but I absolutely understand what you are saying.

Out of curiousity, has anyone with a purchase agreement asked about picking up in Normal? With the distribution squeeze, it seems like that's something they'd be eager to do.

Anyone know how long it has been taking from completion of all the financial docs/signings to truck arriving in one's driveway? I know there's an obvious physical destination distance component but there is a some ballpark ability. I'm in WA (Snohomish) which should be comparable to a PRK (Kalifornia) delivery.

All of this opened up for me today, I filled it all out, just waiting for current insurance provider (AllState) to give me what sort of impact they feel the R1T will do to my policy premiums so I can contrast w/the Rivian/Nationwide quote. (Somewhat pimped (e.g. added/bumped coverages, mine's $140/mo) ... Anyone have any feel/review on the Rivian/Nationwide insurance quote? Was it better/worse than current provider? Is it always w/Nationwide is Nationwide hellish to deal with in an claim situation?
