So glad the latest update now remembers Driver+ settings. Follow distance default to max vs. min drove me crazy! Now if they’d only allow min to be just a little closer (I still have issues with people cutting in), and changing max speed to 90mph vs. 85 I’d be even more happy. Supporting automatic lane change via turn signal similar to Tesla would be the coup de grace!
I don't need auto lane change, but just speeding back up to my preset speed before I am fully in the lane would be nice. I think VW calls it Pass Assist or something, basically when you put your turn signal on it starts accelerating so you are at or close to your speed by the time you are in the passing lane.

2008 called and wants its basic text message support back.

Getting tired of not being able to do basic shit.

Just... don't lift your foot off the accelerator so much
This is not a good solution if you suddenly find yourself in a slide on ice that you need to catch fast. It's not even a good solution period. If all four wheels have differing amount of grip, you're inevitably going to have to rely on ABS/TCS/"the computer" to sort out how much positive or negative torque to apply to each corner individually based on your best attempt to find "the magic" pedal position to not apply *any* torque. So you might as well just mash the brakes, close your eyes and hope the computer can work it out for you. But you know what would be even nicer? An option to be able to coast when you lift the throttle. It'd just be an option. You don't have to use it if you don't want.

Been driving EVs for the last 4 winters. Always use the highest Regen setting. Never been an issue.

Congratulations!

I've spun a car on the track because I botched a downshift. I've also managed to save a small handful of off-throttle-decel-induced slips in the winter throughout my life by clutching-in.

We both have anecdotes?‍♂. But I guess only yours matter? Cool.

Tank Turn would be a fun trick to have… not sure how realistic it actually is! ?

Has that occurred for you in an EV?? With stability on, I think that it would be a lot more difficult to experience that situation. I only have 1000 miles on my R1T and only a few days in the rain, so my observations are limited.

I would like to see improvements in the screen resolution, also the adjustment in the depth of the black background especially in nighttime driving. Basically, the black is more of a dark grey (more noticeable at night) which makes the screens really bright. Dimming the screens dims everything which isn't the correct way to fix the issue.

Needs to be more of a streamline communication between Rivian wall charger, Rivian app and truck both visually and controls. For example start and stop a charging session or maybe notifications that a charge has initiated or terminated and detailed battery info during a charge session.

I second gear Guard video/access from the app. I’d also like some sort of better fix to the continuous locking and unlocking of the truck when around it with my phone. It drives me insane when I’m working in the garage or lawn near my truck. Sounds like a flock of birds chirping. I shouldn’t have to put my truck in camp mode or anything to stop this (yes I’ve turned off proximity at home)

Rain and ice are totally different driving surfaces. No, I haven’t experienced this on an EV, because the EV that I have extensive winter driving experience with is an Audi etron, which allows for a driving mode with absolutely zero regen (on which you can OPTIONALLY map regen to the brake pedal only).

That's a bug then and not normal behavior. Mine literally never locks/unlocks at home.

If you walk past your truck it doesn't unlock and then re-lock? Mine does the same thing when I am working in my garage or even walking around inside the house near the garage. It's obnoxious. Even worse is when it locks while I am actively loading something into the bed with the tailgate down. The logic is really poor and seem solely designed to handle the situation of walking up to the car to get in and walking away after you get out, which at first blush seems sufficient, but truck usage and ownership really is so much more.

You just need to turn it to only perform that function away from home (in settings/vehicle). I even think if you store your Work location, it runs a less sensitive logic for that too in case your office is near where you park.
