HVAC Drain Plug Replacement

I got this email yesterday. I don’t see anything posted on this forum from anyone else so this brings up two surprises to me.
1. Am I the only one?
2. They have an option of using a 3rd party vendor.

I received the notice and made an apt at Rivian-April 9th is the earliest. Also replacing 12v battery and some bolt.

Did you schedule through the app or call? Mine won’t show the SAT location in the app. First it shows mobile service only (which I need to take it in for a half shaft issue) or when I hit see more locations, it only comes up with Austin, Houston and Dallas.

Edit: I set my location at the top to San Antonio, not my home address. I’ve actually tried multiple addresses and it won’t show SAT.

Received phone call from Memphis SC - scheduled mobile appointment for less than a week later - for drain plug - here and gone in less than an hour.
Memphis has been outstanding for 3 mobile and one post-towing SC appointment (left rear half-shaft) so far!

Second this. The Memphis SC called me last week for this drain plug replacement and they came out on a mobile service this Friday. They also torqued some bolt on the visit.

Yeah I live in Spring Branch. I was hoping I could use the SC in San Antonio for this but you are right, it doesn’t come up. I have other issues too so I need to take it to a SC. Austin SC for me is an 1:20 trip. San Antonio is only about 30 or 40 minutes at the most. The Rivain AI bot sucks.

Call them to schedule at SATX service center. I did it for March 22nd

Rivian customer service is great. They call you and schedule your service at third party preferred vendors close to you for recall and drain plug replacement. It's a great convenience. Instead of waiting on mobile service or service center loction.

Spend 25% in Wimberley 25% Houston
50% in SATX

It cannot be done by mobile. They are proactively replacing the 12v battery, the HVAC drain plug, and tightening some stuff at the wheels I believe. Takes a couple hours and you get the vehicle back the same day. Third party service center is an option for even quicker service.

I spend most of my time around hwy 46 between New Braunfels and Pipe Creek, and south into SA on 281. Black R1S. I”m a builder so I get around. Locations are subject to change any given month lol.

That is really interesting. ATLANTA said they cannot do this through their mobile service.
