Same as @freshpow. I've had this issue for a while. I usually just launch the Rivian app and wait a few seconds. I'm thinking my Android phone, or the truck, are just sleeping and launching the app updates the connection.

Mine just came in also. Get a screwdriver out to unattchch it from the base. And remove the PPF to open the frunk, gear doors and tailgate. 😅 I was really hoping the dimensions on the box were for the scale model. That would have been cool.
