The bump is only on the driver side puck, and only on one side of the puck. It feels like the base might not be as level as it needs to be. I'm leaving it as is for now.

Odie's offers a finishing oil. It was at the house and I ran with it.

Curious, was it the Odie's Dark you used to get that finish?

I bet the dark might give it the edge needed for a closer match, but I just used what I had at home, which was the clear/'universal' finish.

It did...I think it's arriving today. No worries. I got the walnut and some butcher block oil. From what someone else did it should look great with the Forest Edge interior.

In case anyone was wondering what the dark finish looks like.

Really happy with the product. Such an elegant take on fixing the charger problem. I too would opt for a smoother finish on the “granola bowl” section but understand that this is the “first pass”. One heck of a “first pass” to be honest.

I will upgrade if the option does become available in the future

Not the best picture, but fairly representative. Walnut with some butcher block (mineral) oil on Forest Edge. It'll probably leave a little oil residue on anything put on it for a bit, but seems to look decent.

@Sojhinn small note, but an iPhone 14 Pro with the big camera bump doesn't really fit on the right side. If you put it at an angle it *might* charge, but not sure if a phone will fit on the left side that way.

I've had an issue with the cop cover of my plate. The edge of the top right next to the granola bowl has curled up. not sure if it's due to heat, or material or what, but it prevents the phone from sitting properly and looks pretty bad. Also, there is a pretty prominent horizontal line in the material almost in the middle between the back and the bowl cutout.

FWIW, to prevent the lower bowl rim of the top plate from curling up, make sure it's flushed with the bowl rim of the base plate after install. If there's a lip, in time the phone case's camera surround will pull it up.

This is good advice. In my case it was flush already. Lots of other parts became worped, so I beleive it was heat related.
