If anything, could be a low effort way to boost Canadian sales. But, is there enough service capacity? so they don't wind up shooting themselves in the foot after the cars are sold? Rhetorical.

The lightning rod charges the flux capacitor, not the battery. There’s no way a Rivian battery pack could handle the 1.21 jiggawatts of electricity from a bolt of lightning!

And aside from Halloween, have they not been functional? a little fun isn't going to kill anyone. It hasn't killed you? has it? It's good for marketing and morale (internally and externally). And in limited dose, as it is now, it's added value for the brand. Any more, it would be less special and become gimmicks.

The previous years you could turn it off but this year I don’t think you can. So I’m thinking as long as people have the option to turn themes off and on then Rivian shouldn’t be concerned with offending anyone. Haven’t heard anyone complain about Halloween yet even tho it could be controversial for some.

I guess that is my point, I think OP is wanting the option to have a Christmas theme be available to those who want it, and if it offends people they have the option to turn it off. I do not know if the team that works on the halloween theme is a seasonal team that is only tasked with the halloween theme, but an argument can be made that said team could also work on a Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa theme. Much like how we have the option to change the lock sounds (bird, owl, crow) for halloween, users would have the option of Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Off.

The truth of the matter is one cannot please everyone.
