yep... I'm ok with it though at this point. Seeing a new Rivian posted up for sale every single day and not getting mine yet is starting to get to me though.

When did they say that switching to an R1S would not affect delivery date?

What I remember was them consistently saying two things:

1) You can change to an R1S and not lose your place in line (which is pretty worthless at this point)

2) Any change to your configuration (which would include changing models) could result in a change to your delivery window

Well...until they built the "Shop" they should have just emailed folks or done a chat with them. I am not particular on the interior...I am particular on getting a truck.

If you don't have a guide yet, I would strongly suggest contacting Customer Support and asking to be elevated to a Customer Support LEAD. Explain your situation and tell them that you would like to talk to the guide for your region and see if they can match you to a truck. Be adamant that you are open to different colors, configs etc. I know that they do want to help early preorder holders get their trucks.

(Obviously, this only works if you aren't holding out for Explore, Dual Motor, Max Pack, Ocean Coast or non-powered tonneau. )

And you have an estimate of June - July?

May/June but since I'm an R1S who knows? Was really just commenting about order number/order date issues, as there was no T/S differentiation back in 2019.

Order #80XX here, Feb ‘19. Had a first mile drive in April, which I have at least been thankful for, but no guide contact. Initially had OC selected and ended up in the July-Sep window when those were sent out. Changed to FE when the OC delay became official. Hoping for some movement s00n, but seems unlikely.

It was clear that switching would not impact my place in line. I have a chat transcript around here somewhere to that effect. FWIW the only delivery window I've had is June/July (presumably 2022) and CS is unanimous that I will here something soon...
