Has anyone figured out how to get a lease in a state like Utah where apparently we are not allowed to lease or buy a demo? There must be a work around.

when I called they said it needs to be registered by someone who lives in the state where leases are offered. I don’t understand why leases aren’t available in some states—without knowing that it’s hard to figure out a workaround.
They’ve added a ton more states in the last few weeks so hoping they add mine soon.
The rep I talked to said they don’t get notice about a new state coming on for leasing, they just send out an announcement.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for that, I am trying to figure it out, but Utah does not seem to be helping

Finally got my numbers for my 2023 R1S Quad, 36/12k. Unfortunately the vehicle is in California and not Ohio. Delivery not scheduled for a week out.

MSRP: 98,250
Lease Promotion -6250
Paint Discount -1750
Delivery Fee: 1800
Gross capitalized cost: 92,050.00
Capitalized cost reduction: 8,499.99
Adjusted capitalized cost: 83,550.01
Residual Value: 59,029.50
Depreciation and any amortized amounts: 24,520.51
Rent Charge: 51.65
Total monthly payments: 24,572.16
Lease payments: 36
Monthly Payment: 682.56
Amount to be paid in cash: 5,733.40 (4733.40 at signing, $1000 reservation fee from 2021)

Lease Charge / (Capitalized Cost + Residual Value) * Lease Term
51.65 / (92050 + 59029.5) * 36

Not sure if this is correct, but I'm seeing 0.00001006261154 as money factor? Which is 0.02415026769%?

At those rates you can't afford to NOT get one

Sorry newbie here just started looking at the lease deals.

What is the $6250 off?
And 1750 paint discount?

Cap cost I assume is the 7500 ev tax credit, what's the extra 1k?

Are these deals happening everywhere?

Agree. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize it was a good deal compared to similar vehicles. Not having a car payment for 2 years will do that to you.

Is this the voucher?
Yes/no. I had the price voucher due to my reservation from Sept 2021. The price voucher turns into that lease promotion (or at least if I lease, the price voucher goes away).

What is the $6250 off? Lease Promotion due to price voucher and/or end of quarter deal
And 1750 paint discount? Discount for taking a vehicle in the shop that doesn't match your exact config. Some people got better discounts with getting wheels discounted.

This answers our questions, only takes 20% off depreciation and doesn't affect residual. I'll be buying and not leasing, utilizing $3750 current tax credit. That's sad

Great info, thank you. It just dawned on me that the lease promotion for pre order holders is roughly 20% of the lease cost. So In a way, I see how they got to that number and it does seem more fair. I wonder if it's a better deal for 24 months based on percentages.

You going to pick me up for a ride and meet the other rivian owners for lunch after delivery?

Hi Everyone, I'm looking for a great deal on a new R1S. Is there anyone out there not planning on using their preorder discount? Any way to transfer it? Otherwise I'm looking to get a good lease deal for 36/ 10 on the quad motor, any advice would be appreciated. Seems like you have to put the $1k deposit down and just hope for the best with no numbers given on residual etc. Thanks!

The numbers only works for the quad motor/large battery pack vehicles. Very tempting deal.
