Any guidance on what proper prep would be to do that? Tempted to do the same but not sure where to start.
Same basic steps for best paint adhesion. Degrease and scuff all surfaces to receive paint. Time consuming. Just take them to a local powder coater.

Follow the countless YouTube videos.

I did a combo of handheld sander and hand sanding. Used a wire brush for really deep scratches. And then just did a few coats of black spray paint then clear coat.

Came out pretty good except a few drip marks.

I'm using them as a cheap winter set, so more than good enough for me.

Just a heads-up. I went to Discount Tire yesterday to buy WildPeak A/T3W tires and have them installed on the Dodge Wheels. I told the salesman I was going to put them on a Rivian but I would put them on the truck in early December when the snow starts. He said he could not install them on the wheels because I told him they were going on a Rivian. The only WildPeaks he could install were The D something tire(?) which is an 11 ply sidewall tire rated for about 3,500 pounds each. I told him I had done lots of research and I was not going to put the tire Discount Tire recommends on my wheels. He agreed and suggested I go home, order the tires on line, and he would call me when they were in. He said "when you come down to have them installed don't tell anyone they were going on a Rivian". It's all about liability. So, if you buy the WP A/T 3W tires and want them installed on your Dodge wheels I would not mention they are going on a Rivian. I only went to Discount Tire so don't know what other dealers would say. You will have to do the install on the truck at home, which is not much of an inconvenience for me since I do it all the time on my other cars. It takes me 30 minutes to do all 4 wheels and it would take me a few hours to drive to the store and sit around while they do it for me.

Did they say because of Load Index? If so, ask what the load index is for the 22" wheels (spoiler alert, it's 115 in their system). They'll start making excuses and you can give a thumbs up, then take your business elsewhere.

Thanks to @Kpecks and @oskeei for inspiring the final touches. I ordered 25 matte black and 25 gloss black emblems in 1.75" (fills up a 10" x 10" sheet perfectly for the best price per emblem and met the $15 minimum).

I'm a bigger fan of the gloss black on my satin black, what do y'all think?

If anyone needs 4 or 5 of either, PM me with address and I'll stick them in the mail. All I ask for is a donation to your favorite local nonprofit.

Dumb question and I'm afraid of the answer... does anyone know the load rating for these rims? I've searched pretty hard and came up empty.

I have never been able to find and not sure I've seen that spec for ANY rims I've seen Rivian or otherwise. I've seen at least one tire place online (can't remember which one) that were selling the rims with 115 load tires. I believe a lot of folks have used this 2363 option and have yet to see any feedback about load rating issues with the rims. The only issue I've seen a couple of times is tire rub at the lowest setting, however I suspect that may be due to using deeper thread aggressive A/T tires.

I looked up the weight of a 2018 RAM 1500 which the google machine tells me is between 4,520 to 5,713 lbs. Max payload is 1,800 pounds. My math tells me with a full payload, the weights would be similiar to the Rivian without payload. So for me, I'm just going to be making sure I let my diesel pusher haul and do the heavy work with towing and hauling when I have the 2363 wheels on on the S.

I bought a Dodge Ram rim for a spare wheel/tire today. I have the 20 inch black rims on my R1T which I pick up in 10 days time. What tire(s) have folk used for a spare? I’d appreciate Amy recommendations.

Thanks - Chris

If you are going to be using it as a true spare, I'd find a nice used tire that has some life left. If it's truly a spare which I assume if you are getting the 2363 rims, no need to carry a brand new tire that you may never need to use (knock on wood). Why carry a brand new tire you may never need to use.

Thanks. Either way. What size tire do I need. Is it the same as on my OE 20 inch rim, or should it be different as the rim is not exactly the same. Thanks

Same tire size which I believe for the OEM 20" is 275/65/20. You see folks talk about the 275/60/20 because that would be the same diameter on the 20" rims as the OEM 21" and 22" tire sizes on the respective rims.
