Damn, it looks so good with the AT tires. I read that the 20 AS tires would get the same range as the 21" AS. Do you see any reduction in range with the 275/60/20 AT tires? Im currently have 21" on my R1S. What have you experienced so far @Riviot ?
definitely will see loss of range. Prob 10%? But I’m running 115T tires so air pressure is lower, around 42-45. But it rides a lot better w 20s and lower psi.

My wheels are finished so now I'm down to deciding what tires to buy. I have narrowed the choice to two. WildPeaks or Goodrich KO2s. I have the KO2s on my Sprinter van camper and have been happy with them but I do lose mileage when I have them on the van. They are slightly larger diameter than the stock wheels by about 3%, and the van struggles when going up-hill on long grades doing highway speeds. Not sure if this is caused by the aggressive tread design or if it's a wheel diameter problem. I don't know how, or if, this will be any kind of factor with the Rivian. I do like the ride and handling of the Sprinter on the KO2s compared to the stock street tires I have. Any Pro or Con thoughts on the KO2s vs WildPeaks.
I would get wildpeaks. they will be quieter as they wear down. 3 season rated. Get 116S whatever you get.

I don't think 20" AS gets the same as 21", but 275/60/20 AT will definitely reduce. I was getting ~300 miles in all purpose with my OEM 20" ATs in spring/summer (5.5% more [*INDIVIDUAL BASELINES ARE IMPORTANT WHEN TALKING ABOUT RANGE IMPROVEMENTS*]), I'm currently at ~315 miles with 20" AS in summer (5% increase).

What is your stated all purpose range with 21", 324 miles? And your actual all purpose average efficiency?

That's really low. 115 load index doesn't matter, what's the stated max PSI? Are they LTs? Airing down on the roads = big drop.

I second this! Except you don't need the LTs if you don't want, 115 load index is fine and (as proven elsewhere on here) already put on a lot of trucks by Rivian both on 20" ATs and 22".

Mine is 305 all purpose and 339 reserved with 21
I believe you, but can you attach a pic? That seems like a big difference.

Wow, I thought 21" all purpose was higher. I was already getting about that with my ATs, and AS are definitely better. What's real world 21" consumption look like?

Edit: below is what I meant by base

So to answer your original question, yes I have exceeded 21" range/efficiency with 20" AS. It's a combo of my better base (driving habit, HVAC, and other power use) and improved contact/rolling resistance.

That is awesome. There are so many of these dodge rams 1500 wheels on Facebook market in my area with good price. This setting is very intrigued and I don't have to bring it to rivian to reset the wheels

No matter how you slice it, it's cheaper to do aftermarket setups. OEM tires are stupid expensive. Even compared to more affordable 20" AT, 21" overall is more expensive for us averaging 90% home charging at $.11 and 10% travel charging at $.35 for a $.135 average rate. Obviously the more you pay for power, the closer the costs get.

My very rough excel is attached if anyone wants to update and play 🤓🧮

I got the Smart Sensor Pro+ TPMS sensor programmer! It was incredibly easy to use. Like others have said, I spent most of my time with it updating the programmer and about 5 minutes pulling out my wheels, cloning, and putting away.

I plan on keeping it for at least a year, so if anyone needs it, PM me and we can arrange pickup or shipping. It fits in a small flat rate box, so round-trip shipping is $20.

Well, you guys have inspired me. Thanks to all the collaboration and knowledge everybody has researched and shared on this thread. Last winter on 22” pirellis was, fun. Lol

Got a full set in good shape for dirt cheap. Took a little while before a set popped up here in PDX, waited a bit and got all four for less than the cost of a single Wildpeak tire, so onward I go!
