2025.26 Update Release Notes

Well, good to know my intuition on release date was right. What are you triggering off of for eligibility? The other leading brand only shows how many vehicles have the update downloaded, installed, etc...but not a pre-download eligibility state.

I see in the Rivian feed there's an otaInstallReady == ota_available and then otaCurrentStatus == Install_Success from the last update.

Vehicles get flagged for an update before they download it.

Any guesses when this may be released? Seems the Rivian-owned trucks that were getting betas are no longer reporting to ElectraFi / Rivian Roamer. Was kinda hoping we'd see this update going out today.

I'm getting close to a towing road trip in two weeks, so my desire to do the update will wane the closer we get to the trip.

I just got it….i typically wait and let some more adventurous early adopters test-dummy updates before I download, just in case

The new release is out now. I got a notice the update was available for my truck about 6 pm CDT. I updated by 6:30. Haven‘t driven it yet so I can’t say if any of the updates are noticeable.

Updated last night and everything went fine. Driving in this morning...and the Adaptive Cruise felt a little...aggressive. It seemed to be doing a little "Slinky" action, where it would fall back a bit, then accelerate quickly to catch up, then brake, then fall back again. Gen1 R1T.

This was on a 2-lane road w/ a few hills (going through the Manassas Battlefield, for any NoVA people), but a route I take 3-4 times a week. I don't recall it doing this before. It did give the usual "poor visibility, pay attention" warning at some point, but again...didn't notice this behavior Monday & Tuesday, and I had the same conditions & warnings.

I'll pay attention today on my drive home, see if it acts the same way on the interstate (usually take I-66 in the afternoon).

Missed this the first time skimming the notes. Obviously not a major issue, but it'd be real nice if it knows when it's 100 degrees outside, to not default to "heated seats" option.

This feature seems to work much more often than not for me, but an improvement would never go amiss.
