This should eliminate about 50% of the threads on "why didn't my vehicle go to sleep?" haha. ?

I agree! Hopefully it doesn't need to be reset back to nav screen everytime. Hoping too I don't have to restart Apple Music everytime I get back in truck.

If subscriptions don't meet Rivian expectations maybe they add features to make it more attractive for those that don't find it attractive.

Or they paywall more features that we currently get for free.

…..Also, I am told Rivian now has two separate software teams, one for gen 1 and the other for gen2 architecture. Because of the differences, they could no longer keep the development together. This makes the process even harder to get things right before a major release of OTAs.

This would surprise me, just not scalable as they start getting the R2/R3 vehicles out there where they need to use economy of scale to provide software to all of the vehicles.

More likely it is a layered implementation where the software modules sit above the hardware interface. They may have specific teams for the 2 hardware interface levels but the code above should have specific modules handled by the same teams regardless of the targeted hardware.

Connect+ doesn't need to be justified by any added features. It was never promised at all in the first place as a free benefit of owning a Rivian.

Blah blah blah it wasn't promised. Things promised like Hands Free Driving in Gen 1 also ain't happening as well so who cares what's promised or not. In other words it doesn't matter until it actually happens.
