So the power cords having twist lock are internally bonded?
No, it’s a separate plug that bonds the neutral and ground so the EVSE does not see a floating ground a prevent charging. You just plug it into one of the other plugs on the generator and you’re good to go.

They make these for 240 VAC twistlock cords?

No, it’s entirely separate from whatever plug you use to charge the truck. It’s just a 5-15 plug with the pins connected as shown and then plugged into the generator outlet. You plug in your adapter/EVSE as normal.

I will likely just use the generator to power the house when power is off the grid source. Then, use the Rivian wall charger as usual. The wall charger has correct bonding as well as the chip inside that is Rivian OEM. As opposed to using the portable charging cord (OEM), to the generator directly when the grid is down. My elect. panel has a generator port on the exterior wall below it installed by the elect. Contractor. The port is NEMA rated for whole house power input and the 4 wire cord from the generator matches it.
My interest is charging my Rivian when the grid is down, which happens here in the mountains regularly for safety in storms.

I got this as it can be fitted in the frunk if the wheels and handles are removed https://wenproducts.com/products/we...ane-powered-electric-start-portable-generator
Now you got me thinking if I can semi-permanently mount a gen under the frunk if I disassemble the gen and tetris the components more efficiently. ? Get rid of the frame and build a custom mount. Get rid of the small 12v on the gen and use Rivian's 12v. Minimize the bulky control panel with a 3D printed one. Get rid of the gas tank and leave a hose hanging to stick into a jerry can of fuel when needed... ?

I wonder how much finger pointing and snickering I would get if I started mounting rotopax of fuel ?

I'm sure I'll need to get my flame suit on for this but there are parts of the state that has 0 electricity or civilization. I like to do backcountry sports a LOT lol but it also means I have to charge the truck at night (I sleep at the trailhead the night before). Solution? 12Kw generator with a true sine wave, called in and they said as long as it's properly grounded and no errors, it's fine to use a generator. Ok so yes it's ICE but I don't have a choice unless they put charging stations on top of remote mountain ranges in the middle if nowhere.
8kWh per gallon of gas? Is this close to what that'll get?

That's a heavy mama jama... Might need to mount an engine hoist to the underside of the hood...
That is an understatement, unless 2 heafty people with step ladders and some carefull lifting is done.
Listen to these two guys. I didn't look at the generator you considered putting in the frunk before. That thing is indeed a two-man lift sort of thing, and it's going to be challenging to get it in the frunk without scratching something.

Some repurposed civic engine mounts and a tailpipe that raises with the hood. Then some LNG tanks in the bed. Need a charge? Pop the hood and plug-in. Maybe a raspberry pie to control the peripherals and bluetooth then just gotta code up the app for the phone. Or get a generator that already has a keyfob ?

I think I'll be fine, it's only 214 lbs. If it's too heavy then I can roll it into the bed and strap it down. I'm leg pressing 855 lbs and curl 70's no pun intended. I'm from Hawai'i so we tend to be on the bigger side ? but I appreciate your concern guys.
