Does it fit (with wheels and handles) under the tonneau? If so, seems like a great solution, especially since I can load it on ramps vs. He-Man'ing it into the frunk.
Well...it may never leave the frunk and become permanent ? but the wheels and handles have to come off in order to fit including the shelf. Although just strapping it in the bed, strap in some LNG tanks and use the gear guard cables is a simple solution and prob more realistic lol.

Ha! Would certainly be easier to leave it in the bed, so that's kind of my preference, but I love the idea conceptually (from a packaging efficiency perspective) of putting in in the frunk.

Also, should you go with regular gas, jerry cans can be strapped to molle panels which would certainly cause confusion when people see your EV hauling around gas cans. Bonus points for the fun conversations that would arise.

Just for fun I thought about getting a fogging machine and use black food die in water and oh don't forget the stove pipe rolling...black water vapor ?. Oh God LMAO should use old military jerry cans.

Rolling Dyed Water Vapor would be the best pwn of the diesel crowd ever. I love this idea. Even better, use an organic coloring agent, though that's a very targeted joke with an audience of 1.

(I'm particularly salty about the coal-rolling, since there's some asshat in my town who enjoys doing this, with no meaningful consequences, all while using a TRAIN HORN in morning traffic ... ugh)

I was also thinking too of security of the generator. Breaking a hood open or a mallet to the tonneau cover to steal it. Much harder to lift it out with a hood in the way vs rolling it out the bed if they get the tailgate open.

I heard it doesn't taste like oranges ?. I use to get rolled coal sometimes when I had my Y. It's annoying when you're just going to work.

That’s because you’re sitting at a railroad crossing and it’s a freight train…

The 12Kw would definitely be in the bed of the truck but 4x the cost. I found a 5.6Kw generator that can fit under the frunk. May not be a bad idea considering it's only 54lbs vs 210lbs of the 12Kw generator.
Plus in actuality the portable charger won’t do more than 7.6kW anyway so 12kW would have been overkill even giving it 20% overhead. Charging at 3.2-3.6k will likely get you where you need unless you intend to travel more than 200mi from the nearest outlet you could mooch. Even the Dempster doesn’t have a point that remote on it any more.
