Yeah, you're right. I just got curious waiting on my Dec/Jan delivery estimate now that it's nearing the end of February and no word on the car. I always assumed my shop prices reflect the fact I have pre-price increase pricing, so why wouldn't the regular dual motor in the shop for me be...
I'm pre-price increase on my yet-to-come R1S. Large pack, dual motor performance (only dual available when I locked my configuration in October). In the shop now is my same configuration except black not El Cap Granite (no price difference) and regular dual motor instead of performance. The same...
Same boat. But I pre-ordered in January 2022. I was patient up until the 2-year mark but now I’m just pissed. I think Rivian is trying to get me to opt for the max pack which makes no sense for me.
Not really related but: when I configured, standard dual was not available and I had to select performance. I'm (supposedly) on the cusp of getting my R1S, and I'd love to save $5000 -- can I downgrade to standard dual?
Maybe I'm too cynical after spending my working life as a newspaper reporter. But I still believe that more often than not you can rarely go wrong assuming the worst motives.
That is great to hear. My S is coming this month and about every other weekend it will be outside while we snowshoe into our cabin — at 11,000 feet elevation, so plenty cold. I wonder why Rivian isn’t bragging about conquering the phantom?
Thanks. Good luck with the i3! I'm interested because I'm getting my R1S soon and will be using it at high elevation in Colorado. Anxious about the vampire.
Sweet. I see you're in Denver. Have you given them a snow workout yet? We're in Golden. Our use case will be driving to (or near to in winter, since we have to snowshoe in the final couple of miles Dec. to June) our remote cabin in Park County. I'm also anxious to see how the battery drain is...
Let us know how those X-ice 22’s are in the snow. I bought them a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of getting my R1S which is coming soon. I didn’t want to get too deep into winter and discover they were sold out for the year, so tires first, vehicle second.
