2024 R1S; Colorado. Main use case going to our mountain cabin. Last 2 miles on quite rocky, rough dirt road. In winter that final stage is not plowed so we snowshoe in and avoid driving on the really gnarly part. Bought it with 22's because snow tires available. I've had two blowouts, one on the...
My latest observations. 2024 R1S in garage. Temp in there about 45. Software updated to 2024.47.1 GG off. Rivian bluetooth off on the Iphone. Starting with 70 percent charge and 247 miles range.
Car in both service mode and shipping mode. After first 24 hours: Still at 70% charge and range loss...
Nice to hear of another Alma Rivian. We live in Golden but have a cabin on the Windy Ridge Road (county road 787) where we spend quite a bit of time. Snowshoe in about 6 months of the year. A great vehicle for up there.
Definitely big difference. Parked outside for 72 hours at the lot where we begin snowshoeing into our cabin in Colorado. Nighttime temps in the single digits. Elevation 11,000 feet. Gear guard off. SOC went from 73% to 72%. Major improvement. Next time I'll leave Gear Guard on and see how it does.
My r1S has been in my garage (Colorado 7,500 feet elevation) for almost two weeks. Unplugged from wall charger, shipping and service modes on, gear guard off. Lost about .8 KWH a day. My Volvo BEV parked next to it for about half the time, zero vampire drain.
Same here Monday evening. Tried again today (Tuesday) same thing. Thought it might be because I’m out of the US, but seeing so many with same issue guess not.
I have found that putting it in service mode and shipping mode has cut it to about .6 or .7 per day. Gear Guard also off and the Rivian app on the Iphone disabled.
I’m sure this is a dumb question, but…I’ve got a 2021 Volvo EV and just got notified their adapter is available now. I’m still waiting on my Rivian one. Volvo is charging $230. If I wait for the free Rivian adapter can I use that in the Volvo?
Getting an alignment today on my R1S at a non-SC shop in Denver area. SC wait was too long. S is pulling right after one tire replaced because of unfixable slice. Price is around $300.
Dual motor performance, 22 inch wheels, 3000 miles mix of about town (live at 7,400 feet, drive down to around 5500 feet and back) and back and forth to our mountain cabin at 11,400 feet. Avg 2.6 to 2.7.
I don’t think this would show up in a photo. It’s very small, only found it by feeling around until I felt the air. Could even be like a pin prick.
No, not a nail, seems to be a small tear close to the sidewall on the inside. Hoping to get Rivian out to fix it and do a couple of other minor things. Sealant held fine for about half our drive back, then started slowly losing PSI. We stopped twice to use the compressor. All good. Great vehicle.
