I'm wondering if Rivian allows for part of the purchase price to be put on a credit card?
Usually car dealers frown on this because they don’t want to pay the 4% transaction fee for someone using a credit card, especially for such a large purchase.Hi

Configuration requires a $400 non refundable deposit on top of what was already paid to reserve.$100 of it can be on CC.
I was hoping to bank a shit ton of points and pay that balance off instead.Well, I figured that was a pipe dream... thanks to all for the feedback.

Rivian is doing direct sales though, so I don’t know. This is a good question. Think of the cash back you could get if it was the right card!!! Somehow I don’t think this will be allowed. Keep us posted.
I tried that a few years ago when I drove two hours the day after Christmas to buy a car only to find out dealers won't take checks any more. Next attempt was to just put it on my card.I was hoping to bank a shit ton of points and pay that balance off instead.
