Also a Plaid, and those seem downright cheap now, in many cases.Which Tesla? The CT is what costs similar, lol.
A wise man once said:Why is it surprising to people that cars at this price point depreciate like a rock thrown in a pond? It is this way for anything expensive. Cars are not investments.
A wiser man once said If you predict the residual on the lease is too high lease it...if you think they set the lease residual too low don't lease...terms of the lease matterA wise man once said:

Not sure if Dave Ramsey is wise, but I’m 100% certain he never said that LMAOA wise man once said:

Moral of the story? Buy a Quad?I bought my 2017 Model X 100D new for $132k and sold it for $24k 6 years later. My 2022 Model X was $122k and is currently worth $45k. That’s $185k in depreciation over 9 years.
The original owner of my 2024 R1S paid $81k (voucher) brand new and sold it for me for $72k last year. Just got a trade in offer from Rivian for $78k. Even ignoring the voucher price, MSRP was $94k. Still much better than my Teslas.

Don’t worry, I did. It speaks to your current trade offer (with very little detail provided) and gives NO details to qualify your claim of how it relates to any other trade offers or depreciation (including no actual mention of a Tesla offer or depreciation despite the title of the post)LOL, see the original post
OK, trying to be helpful to the community so I provided the info I have - 2025 R1S Dual Large (price paid shown) with Performance upgrade post-purchase and I showed the mileage at time of the trade-in quote a few days ago. It’s definitely more helpful information that I’d argue should have been in your original post if that was your intent! I’d also take dealer trade offers with a grain of salt…do some market research for the best offers to be sure. I don’t believe Rivian is going to give you the best offer.OK, trying to be helpful to the community so I provided the info I have - 2025 R1S Dual Large (price paid shown) with Performance upgrade post-purchase and I showed the mileage at time of the trade-in quote a few days ago. If you want a Tesla comparable I paid $102K all in for my CT AWD in June 2024 and received a Tesla trade-in of $73,700 ten days ago (up from $65,400 a few months ago). So under $30K of depreciation with triple the mileage and double the age. Does that help you?
