2024.27.1 and 2024.27.30 Update are rolling out for Gen1 and Gen2

I updated my Gen1 R1S today. All went smoothly, no issues with the garage door button. I'm hearing a very noticeable improvement in the audio quality. There are some specific songs I have in a private playlist on Spotify, songs that my band covers so I have listened to them many times in the Rivian to hear all the parts and nuances.
Greta Van Fleet Highway Tune - the guitar is much crisper and brighter, vocals are much clearer. Red Hot Chilie Peppers Higher Ground - Flea's bass is sooo much clearer and has much more punch than before.

I always thought the sound was generally "muddy" prior to this update, but that has absolutely changed. It's not just the volume or EQ, there's something more, like some DSP algorithm was tweaked which increased dynamic range....?

….. has the efficiency graph on the driver display been subtly updated? I seem to be getting more efficient ratings now on the same routes I drive. Anyone else noticing an improvement?

Night and day difference in Audio after the latest update.

Improved sound stage, actual bass down low that has extension and mid bass you can feel in your chest, cleaner highs and overall better audio processing thanks to Atmos.

10/10 feels like a brand new vehicle after the suspension/audio update and like I just picked it up today from taking delivery.

I’m looking for excuses to take a 5 hour road trip each way this weekend to spend time listening to music in the Rivian.

Thanks Rivian. You easily saved me from spending $3,000 (JL subwoofer+amp+battery/labor) - $15,000 (all new Focal speakers and JL amps in all locations plus custom subwoofer box with 2 - JL 12w6 audio subs) at Car Toys for upgrading the Audio system.

I am currently using Apple Music with Dolby Atmos support.

I would recommend for everyone to seriously consider the premium audio upgrade offered by Rivian and pair it with Apple Music.

Agreed on the audio improvements. This update is amazing. That was my big complaint with this vehicle and it’s 100% turned around. Much louder, bass punches in your seat. Excellent job Rivian!!!

Is there a way to check other service centers for availability? Did anyone tried the San Jose one recently? 4 months seems a bit bizarre, honestly.

I suspect it is because the car tried to download the update at least three times. Done a few resets etc.
Or it is just a freaking coincidence. Anyway. Service is on it and told me to hard reset it if I wanted to go out of turtle mode.

Agreed, I take back all of my 4 letter words describing the audio prior to the update. It's super noticeable even with BT streaming imo.

I'm in the same boat, picked mine up Saturday. Was told the update hadn't rolled out to me yet, but I have this notification in the updates page that says "Install Unsuccessful Try again or contact service". Don't know if it was pushed while i was trying to take delivery and something got screwed up or what.
