I can barely take 20 minutes of Kyle, let alone 5 hours?

Only thing worse would be having to watch Geraldo look for AL Capone again... ?

I don't know what to make of it without knowing the route, speed, and weather conditions.

With my Quad-Motor Rivian R1T Large Pack with 21" tires I do a 215 mile route where I typically leave with 100% charge and I arrive with about 60-70 miles of range left. If I do the reverse route then I arrive with about 50-60 miles.

One interesting thing about this route is the Nav often thinks it can't do the journey without having to charge along the way, but once I get going eventually it will concede that it indeed can and displays a more accurate arrival estimate. Haha

Rivian R1T DM with AT tires gets 290 miles for the same test, as a comparison.

And 290 miles is also much closer to Rivian’s EPA of 307 miles.
How big is R1T battery? Same as CT 123KwH? Range useless comparison unless battery size factored in

135 kWh capacity. It’s pretty much comparable. 2.2 miles/kwh on R1T DM AT versus 2.0/kwh on CT

At this point, I don’t see any reason for anyone to prefer a CT. Unless you get shot at routinely by small handguns

Do people here really think that 2.05 mi/kWh on 35" AT tires is a bad efficiency?

Its not ground breaking but ask anyone who is running 35" AT tires on any R1T, I bet they don't average 2 mi/kWh.

Smaller battery, worse aero, bigger wheels. Result was entirely predictable. It's actually better than I thought. I guessed 240 miles.
I actually guessed lower so I was surprised this morning when I saw it went 254 miles. To bad he didn't have the R1T along side for comparison at these temps.
Unfortunately it only gets worse for the CT as speeds increase.
Biggest fail is the small battery for a full size truck. Even more reservation holders saying goodbye.

Actuals versus expectations. CT is quite off the mark. If CT said EPA was 280 with ATs, it’d be a different story

Not going to watch the video but as a long-time EV owner in used-to-be-colder Upstate NY, I don't see a problem here for a winter trip in the Tesla, or for that matter, any EV.

This past weekend I took a roundtrip in slightly colder temps, it was closer to 32ºF, but my R1S on 21" road tires in All-Purpose mode didn't do as well as expected either:

To drive 192 miles I used 247 miles of range, I left with 96% SoC and a range of 300 miles. I don't think I could go 250 miles on a 130kWh battery, certainly in uncertain weather conditions and limited charging options. Factor in any elevation charge and weather impacts wherever the testing was done and seems like a perfectly acceptable result to me.

Would like to see how the range holds up for CT on all-seasons at more moderate temps. I'm thinking 280-300 is definitely doable.

If you are in all purpose with a quad motor, you are full time AWD, the CT is part time AWD, so a better comparison would have been dual motor R1T/S vs CT or your quad in conserve mode. My 0.02.

5 hours Kyle?
He does live streams for these because people watch. There will be a summary video released probably today or tomorrow.
