A five hour long YouTube live feed. I did not watch it all but extracted these key figures.

46 degree temp
Ran it until the battery was completely empty consuming ~122 kWh
covered ~250 miles for an efficiency of about 2.05 m/kWh.

Not great numbers.

The efficiency and charging curve looks to be disappointing, especially compared to all of the hype we were forced to endure over the last few years.

Let's hope that it charges better when hooked up to a 800V dispenser.

Don't worry, the hype will keep going ...
"Once 800v is out .. it will be way better than the others"

Then when that doesn't come true

"Tesla is just holding it back to be safe, they will release a software update to make it way better than the others"

Then when that never comes

"Tesla is going to release a new battery version that will make it way better than the others"

Interesting comments in the cross post on the cybertruck forum....."software will unlock 10-20% more range alone".....haha

These results are right in line with the overestimates of range on our model Y and are a big reason I prefer the more accurate R1T.

Considering the temps, I'm not sure the R1T would have faired much better (Dual motor 20" AT). The big issue is the hype around it. Every cybertruck forum stating this thing is going to be MILES AHEAD in efficiency. Although it's hard to tell tesla fanboys from bots these days.

46 degrees or so isn’t that cold. R1T DM with ATs gets 290 miles

It'd be great to always do these tests with multiple vehicles on the same route, so you know if there was something unaccounted for specific to that day.

Hmm.. then the DM must really be a lot more efficient, because in those temps I barely got over 2 miles per kwh in my quad, even on longer trips.

DM disengages the rear motor at highway speeds. Same as in the CT where either the front or rear motor gets disengaged (because it has an inductive motor)
