I have been trying ABRP to plan a long upcoming trip, and I can’t find any reason to continue to bother with it. Compared to inRoute, a very capable routing app which I’ve used for many years, ABRP is incredibly limited, inaccurate and unreliable. With inRoute I can easily select my waypoints, choose routing based upon temp, elevation, precipitation, etc. assign layovers, search for EV chargers just as I would for hotels and really understand my routing, with alternatives clearly defined. I’ll give ABRP a pass.ABRP is now telling me it can’t calculate a route that I’ve asked it to calculate probably 20-30 times in the past (which it has been able to do). I now have to select a very particular charger at a midway way point to get it solve.
I thought ABRP was supposed to make Rivian better? Is Rivian making ABRP worse? How’s that for click bait?
But really, what in the world?
Waypoint is Asheville, NC
I can pick Cherokee, NC and ABRP is like “okay, let’s just go through Asheville and then to Cherokee”
