I'm trying to find out if my dual standard will make it from charging up at Sonora, CA to Mamoth Lodge but for some reason abetterrouteplaner and the Rivian Nav will not route me via CA-108 where Google, Plugshare and Apple will happly do it. I dont love that there is about 7K feet of climbing and 150 miles without a good estimate that all will be okay.

I have gone the other way from 395 down CA-108 and it is very steep and very curvy. I had no problem heading downhill but not sure how it would go the other way.

ABRP works for me for that route with my Gen 1 R1T w 20". Departing SoC 100%, arriving SoC 26%. 3 hours 8 minutes and no charges along the way.

I have my "stop for charge" SoC set to 10%.

Can you show me a screenshot of your route?

Okay this is crazy when you pick a 2025 Rivian it will not work pick a Gen 1 and sometimes it will pick that route based on battery. Wild....

I frequently drive up 80 to Tahoe and seem to lose about 10 miles of range per 1000 feet of climbing (so like an extra 70 miles of range is needed to get up to Donner summit at 7000 feet). The Rivian navigation map is pretty accurate at predicting this too. So you can add that on to the extra miles that Google map is showing.

ABRP doesn't think you can do it without a slight detour to charge with the standard pack. Here's what it gives me

Looking at the ABRP plan I posted earlier, I'm not sure why it doesn't route to the RAN station in Lee Vining -- it would be along the way and I can't imagine that you couldn't make it there considering the detour it currently shows has you arriving at the detour at 42%.

Ya, and there is also the Electrify America in Bridgeport which is right on your way and just as close as that detour would be (Lee Vining is a bit further along). That EA and the Lee Vining RAN are both convenient, reliable and uncrowded in my experience. These are the grey and green dots, respectively, shown on your blue route. Something is out of whack in ABRP at the moment, I'm seeing the same strange plan.

So charging should be a non-issue, if you even need it. On the other hand, note there is an active fire since last night that has 395 closed around the Mono Lake area, with evacuations:

I recently traveled from my home in Petaluma, Sonoma County to Rancho Mirage. Started with 99% and stopped once in Buttonwillow, which is a charging station Mecca. There were a bunch of Rivian chargers right next to a huge array of Tesla charges. However, while the Rivian stations were mostly full, the Tesla stations were mostly empty. Go figure. I just charge long enough to have a meal and arrived at my destination with Miles to spare.

Yeah I got sick and was not able to go but its a intersting thing because if I did I would probably have been stranded since the RAN was on the wrong side of the fire and the 3 hour detour I dont think had charging stops so I'm not sure how that would have played out.
