Didn't they quote the cyber with rollout?
Yea but I’m pretty sure Rivians is the same. The best I’ve gotten is 3.03 with rollout subtracted, or 3.2 raw 0-60. It’s way more impressive though than Teslas claims because if you look at the S plaid, nobody is getting close to 1.9 seconds in real life. You’d need a track prepped surface, battery conditioning, 100% SOC, and a special launch mode. I got 3.03 with 82% charge on the street.

I'm pretty sure Rivian will get over it. Once the initial hype dies down, so will the CT.

So, Cybertruck making through Hells Gate next? Or 0-60 the most important thing? ?
I'd settle for Motortrend taking it on the Trans-America Trail.

once you get to sub 4.0 second, your day to day impact is next to nothing. Rarely if ever will you go full throttle, because you don't need to. Its just a "bragging right" .. Problem with the CT is no one will hear you brag because they will be too busy laughing at your trashcan of a truck.

Honestly, I prefer the dual motor over the quad motor Rivian.

0-60 in 3 seconds for a 6k lbs truck is absurd and not useful. I've caught myself several times accelerating faster than I should be and almost exceeding the braking limit. Tesla with their terrible brakes combined with a crazy fast truck and stainless steel body will be a deadly combination.
Agreed. It moves like a video game and I sometimes drive like an a**hole because the power is there. :CWL:

The R1T’s 0-60 time depends on the wheels. The 22” wheels/tires are the fastest. 21” and 20” are slower than 3 seconds to 60.

I describe it as "driving a roller coaster" and I certainly do more improvised chicanery as a result.

By subtracting rollout but did not give the number subtracted.

That number is also only beast mode. The other AWD is 4.1 0-60 and 112. Top peed which is the closer R1T competitor price wise

There is no reason to take stock in Tesla’s written claims. Plus, IMO, who cares if they are faster. The R1 is more than quick enough for all practical needs.

You butt can't tell the difference between 2.6 and 3.0 seconds.

AWD was quoted here as 3.9 before Tesla fixed it. Guessing they are using 0.2 seconds as the rollout and someone just mistakenly subtracted it out here as well.

The R1T is still the fastest truck, but it is mildly embarassing to get out dragged by a dumpster.

Yet another bonus for the dumpster truck, first launch in the Rivian I almost hurled, so the DT also has a built in vomit catcher. This will become a heavily used feature of DT owners, and not just for the drag strip.

It’s a shame it looks the way it does because I think Jason is right, it’s a neat vehicle that has been pre-judged which does a disservice to what’s going on underneath.

The R1T would be great with an 800v and 48v system, especially if it truly means savings in manufacturing costs. The repeatability of acceleration performance, even with the battery in the 30% range, is impressive, and other than vagueness off-road the steer by wire and four wheel steering system seems great from an every day usability perspective. Then there’s the alleged 11.5kw of onboard power (if I recall correctly, as it’s not covered in the video). And the tonneau seems much better designed than Rivian’s first attempt.

If all of these things were in an R1T or R1S people would be singing Rivian’s praises, but instead they are in what many people consider a joke of a vehicle.
