First world problem of the day.

I've looked at pics online and can't make up my mind. If you have one, what side did you put it on and are there benefits when it comes to one vs. the other?

I mounted mine on the driver's side, because ........ ?

.... I have no idea why I chose the driver's side.

I could never tolerate the asymmetry of having a plate on one side and not the other. So if I had to choose, I would put plates on both sides.

I went with passenger side.. it doesn't interfere with the front cam view or the front bumper sensors.

I totally hear you. I solved that problem by going "commando in the front" with my car but my wife doesn't want to have to deal with "fix it" tickets with her car.

I went with driver side. Police rarely pull over vehicles without front tags here in Maryland but I was pulled over for it once. On the highway they like to sit in the median so the left side is easier for them to see.

Check your state laws for front plate requirements but here in Maryland the only requirement is that it's "securely mounted to the front of the vehicle" .

I have it on the pax side. There no benefit..:just personal preference. At the end of the day, I like the asymmetry it creates and certainly like it better than drilling into the bumper for a center mounted plate (or any of the temp center mount options).

We put ours on the drivers side. In nearly a year with the truck haven't had any issues.

If you are tackling challenging terrain, you will need both. Recovery angles and obstacles determine which is then appropriate during a pull.

My apologies. I just noticed this thread was about a license plate mount and not recovery gear. I need another cup of coffee.

Funny enough, that's what I would do. One being my normal, and one being a Silly one.

I put mine on the passenger side because the charging plug is on the driver side. I was worried that a cable might hit the plate mount and damage it.

Also as others said I do like symmetry and this way I don't see it.
