First, I don't drive...or ride shotgun...or for that matter ride in the 2nd row....(maybe my owner stinks?). However I do have a nice bed in the back and would love Pet Mode to blow air back here for me!

Thanks for the future enhancement!

No it only blows in the front row ?
It does a decent job keeping the inside cool but I agree, not allowing us to enable the third row vents is a miss.

Will somebody please think about Hatch? He’s just trying to stay cool!

If I turn the third row vents on and then enable pet mode and exit and lock the vehicle, the third row vents remain on. This was confirmed from outside the vehicle by taping a strip of paper over the vent so that I could tell through the window if the vent was blowing. I had assumed as much based on the frosty temp of my dog's fur back during the heat of the summer but my experiment tonight positively confirms it.

It would be nice if there was at least an option for pet mode to automatically turn on the third row vents but it can be done manually (but has to be done before enabling pet mode). I also wish there was an option for that vent setting to be sticky so that I don't have to turn it on every single time the dog is in the vehicle (which, as a Seeing Eye Dog, is any time my wife is with me which is almost every time I go anywhere). For us, the third row vents run pretty much all summer.

Looks cool to me although I don’t think he likes the bed. Much prefers the conditioned 2nd row!

I will have to test again. When I turn third row on I hear them blowing, as soon as I hit pet mode the sound goes away, I did not really test to see if it is still flowing but at a lower rate.

I do know the car stays cool when I put it on though.

Edit: @electruck thanks for the info. I had someone climb in the back, set pet mode and locked the truck. It does blow from the third row in pet mode even if I did not have the third row on, just blows at a lower level than what I was hearing. That explains why I always though it did a good job keeping the interior cool. ?

Dear Hatch,

Tell your mommy and daddy the front seats, like the Rivian, are just as much yours as it is theirs. The Rivian is just one big dog bed you share with others.

Cheers,
