Searched every interface on the screen and googled, but I couldn’t find the energy symbol icon anymore where perhaps that is buried. I’m guessing. A software update changed the layouts and I’m lost. Any help would be appreciated.

It's in the energy menu. That's the one with the lightning bolt.

See that horizontal bar above the ride height mode? Swipe up on that and it will pop up another menu

Starting a couple updates ago they made the bottom bar customizable. You can select which icons you want to show up there. Swipe, drag & drop.

What this tells me (because there've been so many posts about this) is Rivian needs to do a better job letting people know what's changed in each update. ?

They allow you to look whenever you want. It posts the whole thing and asks you to see what's new each time it completes an update. You can always do it from the settings menu where it tells you what version of software you're running. You can click on that and see the entire change log for that software package.

Well, yes. That is true. I just didn't want to be rude and call someone a big dummy for not reading the changelog, LOL. But they should probably make it a full screen "Important: click here to see what's changed" or something.

Cars are more computer these days, than they are "just a car". ?

Yeah you really have to adopt a whole different tactic when dealing with a modern vehicle.

I’m a millennial and relatively tech savvy, but that’s not intuitive. I knew some of the options were missing as well, including the owners manual. Hence why I couldn’t even search for instructions.

I’m a millennial, but am also adhd and not going to read every line of every software update. I also get quickly annoyed with emails which should be conversations in person or on the phone.

Thanks all, now will see if this can power a swamp cooler at a 5 year old’s bday party.

It will only power 1500w max between all your plugs at any one time. Swap cooler Sounds like it will take a lot of energy. But maybe not. I have learned to look at electronic stickers before trying or buying new things.

First boot after that update there was a pop-up about needing to swipe up to get to the other apps right in the tray. Easy to ignore I guess.

Especially if you are a millennial that makes excuses for themselves. Why post on a forum when this could have been a phone call to Rivian support?
