Bad Storms = Not So Happy Ending For One Poor R1T

From our friends at the Reddit forum. This happened some place in MD - where we just had a really intense storm come through.

It looks like the street just opened up and swallowed this poor R1T up. Nobody was hurt from the account I saw.

Best of luck to the owner of this guy. Hopefully not totaled.

We got a NASTY thunderstorm today in MD and unfortunately, it looks like someone’s R1T got caught in the damage. I hope there isn’t a lot of damage. I hope it’s not going to be expensive. ​

Looks like at the minimum a tie rod is hosed.

Did they park on top of the metal road plates? Or drive over them? Either way, looks like a bad idea.

Looks like the road was being worked on. The road might have flooded and the metal plates shifted and exposed the rough road underneath.

I think you are right. Also, the vehicle is in the street - I don't think it's parked.

We had bad storms roll through here. Several downed trees. Haven't seen anything like that in a few years.

Yeah looks like suspension damage at minimum. Hate to see that.

Should be minor. The steering rack on the rivian is pretty weak and that looks like the fuse.
