in past vehicles I would always move right. It’s just too damn annoying in the Rivian sometimes. I’m cruising along, a little faster than most people and there’s always that one car that comes up my butt and I have to choose whether to disable driver assistance, get over, slow down, wait for them to pass, get back over, reengage driver assistance…. Honestly, I’ve not been as consistent doing it with the R1T because it’s a hassle. We really need to get automatic driver+ resume upon lane change.
I’m not sure that justifies the action…lol

I thought there's already a dog mode for cabin cooling? Why does there have to be another one? Really don't want the car guessing wrong what we want because 50% of the people will always be unhappy. For instance I want off mode still. No cooling no monitoring no heating sensors no software updates. Just off when I turn it off without battery drain.

Well this is what they've done based on the release notes, they've just shut all of that off.. Before there were protections built in place to cool the interior of the car if it went past 110 degrees to prevent damage to the screens. My car is garage kept most of the time, so the AC isnt running and I have just as much vampire drain as anyone else, so I dont think this will improve the vampire drain much. For those of us that live in hotter climates, its kind of a bummer going right into mid summer. Having a toggle on or off for the feature would be ideal, but cant win them all.

I personally hope the phone fixes fix my iPhone contacts. Only some show and ones I really don’t care about. None of my favorites show. Can’t figure it out.

I'd love a resume.
How can we get this done? If I can press up on the stalk to cancel, why not press up again to resume? Who do I need to talk to?

I really wish my wife read these forums
Have you tried looking over your shoulder aggressively from the passenger seat to confirm there is no vehicle in the right lane to stop the lane change? If exaggerated head movements don't do it, try saying "I think the right lane is clear now if you want to move over."

I'm sure that will go really well - it has made for some VERY quiet car rides for me and my wife ;)

I honestly do not understand how people think it is OK to cruise in the left lane. It's against the law in the majority of US states. People who would not blow though a stop sign or go straight through a turn-only lane somehow think it's acceptable to sit in the left lane without passing.

I find that a lot of drivers do not really know many of the rules of the road, yield and merge is another issue people really struggle with.

Just for fun, here are the rules for the left lanes by state if anyone cares to brush up on their knowledge.

I agree that it's not ok to cruise in the left lane. It's also true that it's against the law in every state to drive in excess of posted speed limits. And it's illegal to pass on the right in some states. It's also mandatory to use turn-signals before changing lanes. I see a lot of dang rule-breakers in ATL, all around. Slowees in the left lanes, aggressive weavers, people going 20+ mph over the speed limit, essentially nobody using indicator lights, etc. I even see people using the shoulder to get around traffic when there's an accident ahead, at least a couple of times with the driver literally pulling into the shoulder immediately in front of an emergency vehicle trying to get to the wreck!

feature request: Driver alert when being passed on the right by 10 consecutive vehicles. 5 if they are flipping the bird at me in the passenger seat ?
