It's working. Not defective.
Yes, it makes too much noise but that can be easily fixed.
I am not well versed in the local lemon laws. Are you suggesting that the car has to inoperable to seek remediation? Perhaps I missed the part on how it "can be easily fixed." Please, elaborate. Cheers.

Can you share the contact info of some of the execs you contacted? We should all reach out to thm
Rivian eMails are first letter of first name plus last name @ rivian.com. This is the list I eMailed based on the executive team listed on their website. I didn't receive any responses beyond the call from the regional manager. Only 1 eMail came back as undeliverable.

Lemon laws vary state to state. why not Google “lemon laws” for the state that you are interested in?

I can hear the hum in 2 places. Easiest way is put your head under the passenger front wheel well. You have a hum from the back where the compressor probably is and the front closer to the condenser probably

sounds like it needs some sort of rubber isolation pad. I can feel the vibration in the pedal and that probably needs some thing to help absorb the vibration but first need to fix the root cause before you address the Downstream impact of the hum to other parts of the car

I was asking for the OP. I did look it up and it's a bit vague with a bit of room open to interpretation.

irritation is not lemon law.
Most likely your state says, the vehicle must be in the shop for 30 days over the course of a year or cause a safety issue which a loud fan/compressor is not.

I went through it when I had a replacement engine in our Tahoe and it sat for 30 days without an ETA. The manufacturer has the choice of giving you a new vehicle or buying it from you which every state has its own use/mileage equation.
I ended up with a new motor and $14,000 in rental car fees.

Yeah, continue to 'make noise' and let this issue be heard. Sorry, that sucks... and the response of 'Normal' or 'In SPEC' is ridiculous and unacceptable.

Rivian keeps telling me the vehicle is not a safety concern which I assume is true. I'm sure they are trying to avoid this issue qualifying for the lemon law.

that is sad to hear.
They can't stay quiet for long. This issue has so many R1S owners in an uproar. I placed the same post on another forum... owner's comments are exactly the same.
