I haven't removed mine...bad weather, low Temps: many factors that would make efficiency numbers skewed. I'll keep it in mind when I get a decent week in the 50s and reset a trip odometer for a week.

I only drive with mine removed- range is about 320-325 in all purpose.

Can't say what the efficiency is with them on as I took them off at the service center.

I removed mine after about 2 months. IMO they look far better. Also, the covers have already have etched clear coat in the wheels from where they clip in.

If I get a free weekend I may do an A-B-A 50mi test to see if there's a measurable difference. I expect a ~3% change (~10mi total range)

Also I do a lot of highway driving, and average 75mph when not in traffic. I'm sure I could get better efficiency if I drive slower but I refuse.

I had mine on for a couple of weeks, but then pulled them off and haven’t looked back. They look so much better without, to my eyes. And I didn’t see an appreciable difference once they came off.

I get 2.6+ mi/kwh highway in conserve - much more if I’m genuinely conservative with the speed and there’s no headwind. If I leave it in AP and drive it like I stole it, I’m coming close to 2.2.

So it looks like the covers add only a negligent amount of range...

So mostly the main issue is rolling resistance .

Possibly, but of course YMMV.

The biggest difference I’ve found so far is in wind speed. If I can keep the speeds down, range goes to the moon. But once I get frisky or the wind picks up, totally different situation.

2.1mi/kwh on a drive back from NorCal to the bay area on Sunday with a modest headwind and driving 65+ mph.

No covers - I had a full 25 minutes at 75 mph in conserve mode today (75F and no rain and little wind) the computer said I was traveling 2.5 mi/kwh
