Day 1 reservation holder right at launch release at the reveal party here in Nashville… but we are in no hurry. We have a good vehicle that we are handing down to a kid that’s just at driving age. We are however flipping from the premium trim to launch since they are throwing in all the stuff we...
Yea not sure if any difference to our Gen 1 T, but I had to apply 3-4 times across a week or two period on mine before it really got better. I also cycled lock/unlock 5-6 times while applying each time… if that doesn’t work then it may be more serious…
OP try some dry silicone lube spray on the door handles to get rid of the noise works wonders!
We head up to Cooperstown,NY from Nashville in 3 weeks for our 3rd big road trip… all set to go until we hit the charging desert in upstate NY where we will be staying… but I’ve tackled that before...
If using driver + or cruise it auto applies the brakes way more frequently than you’d expect until the system can determine the regen is strong enough to release the brake amount applied… only explanation that I’ve been able to find so far outside of manual brake use.
This ^^^ make sure to turn off the regen brake assist… on my Gen 1 T I’m at roughly 80k and turned that off immediately. Just had service done last week and still at 90+% pad/rotor life acc does still apply the brakes in some situations but I’ve gotten accustom to disengaging it prior to allow...
I got about 47k on the OEM 21’s switched to a set of 20’s used locally with the AT’s huge difference in how terrible they were but was still way cheaper than the replacement stock Pirelli. Ended up putting on the Defender MS/2 next and they’ve been amazing… wear very even and expected and have...
My Gen 1 Paak has always been slow to respond when the truck is asleep… but I’ve touched the phone to the door handle for a long time now to get an immediate unlock every time… could be it’s just communicating faster when I do that but I just assumed it worked at the handle like the key card…
I was in an R2 this week for a demo drive while having service done on my T; there was FM radio just fine not through a stream service… Not sure what the OP is referencing…
Sounds like the brake rotor rubbing on the brake pads; at least that’s my guess based on previous experiences with my other vehicles… However I’ve not experienced on my T…
I second the 90 degree adaptor and the Samsung 256 option but I’m also in a Gen 1 T and have had no issues and have saved/transferred videos of need and importance without issue!
I’ll go with the 20’s this time for sure! The tire is a TA not a true All Terrain and should not be nearly as noisy as on the R1 series… That being said I had the 21’s on my T and got a little over 46k miles and was pleased with them until I needed to replace them… Only the stock Pirellis were...
Definitely picking up the spare; saw the kit at the Nashville event a week back and it is the deflated tire and full tool kit with jack! Hoping the R2 is already kit’d with the sealer and inflator but if not got that covered as well… Peace of mind as we burn a lot of miles and travel too...
You may want to go in and reset the range estimates as they are based on recent driving history data. It is likely since it was at a dealer for a period of time that they did launches of harder acceleration more frequently than normal which will certainly affect those readouts… you should be...
Was great to actually sit inside and feel the room and size difference to our T and compare vs the R1S the wife wanted. Now she’s sold on the size of the R2 which was harder to discern in the fall when they were here but roped off!
Agreed they will sell more units over time; but don’t expect viable/decent options on tires until at least mid to late’27 or longer… weird size along with the weight/power of the vehicle requiring more out of the tire than a standard vehicle.
But we’ll be staying away from the 21” this time...
I was about to purchase my third set by the time an alternate AS option was available for my 21” rims on the T… I decided to go with a set of 20’s from another owner instead of purchasing the scorpions at the end of my first set simply due to the cost difference between tires alone vs the 20’s!
Since Forrest Green is delayed and was a toss up between em… This is the wife’s spec! Would have waited for the premium pkg but cost difference is negligible and the added std features make it an easy jump!
