Well the other nit is I don’t think that the SC will let you leave with the 20’s in your bed, they’re going to want to mount them and recode the speedo for the new tires.
Well they would if they sold you just the wheels which they did for me but they definitely told me it's a one time thing lol only because the service guy told me that I could get them that way... but like I said I think the real reason is because they had that lone wheel sitting there and just completed the set to sell to me to get rid of that one wheel

There’s been lots of talk here why many believe the 20” OEM tires are not the optimal choice. Heck, you didn’t even want them so I’m not sure that the “anybody” modifier applies so much.

This is the static I gave the guy on the service line when I called about just buying wheels last week. “No,won’t sell just the wheels”. “But I’ve read about it in the forums & seen pictures, why would someone create an elaborate ruse?” “No, it not happening”. …Until it does.
Consistency is certainly their hobgoblin alright.

Well I've called at least 4 times to get updates on my wheels because I was skeptical also that they were actually going to sell them to me and 3 out of the 4 times they told me that they cannot sell just the wheels as they were in transit to the SC lol.

Even the first lady said that it probably wouldn't get done but that she was given to go ahead from the service advisor... but again who knows what and why it happened... but like I said I'm pretty sure I would easily be able to sell these tires for minimum 1k especially in a years time when people will be coming up for replacement... remember these are like 425 each brand new

If you had 21's, and go with the stock size tire for the 20's, it will impact your speedo. The 21's are a 33 inch tire while the 20's are a 34 inch tire.

I ended up going down a size and found the same tread pattern Pirelli Scorpion Tires for around $250 on Tire Rack. Keeps the diameter the same as your 21's and are about $150 less per tire with the exact same tread pattern.

Here's the link to my thread on the subject if you're interested.

I was able to get some brand new 20" at wheels... just waiting on tpms from rivian to put on tires... gonna go with 275/60/20 continental terraincobtact ht 115h tires.

Hopefully that works out well but weird that they have 2 loads 115h and 115t in that size both sl rated yet the 115h can go to 51psi and 115t only does 44psi.

Edit: I have now decided to put on the pirelli scorpion all season plus 3 as I have now confirmed the Max tire pressure is 51 PSI

Also my truck originally came with 21s so I will not need a calibration of my speedo

That's why I'm going with the 275/60 and not the 65... but I wanted highway tires for comfort and noise over the a/t tires...I like the aggressive look of a/t but don't want the noise

Funny, so they put the 20s in his bed just for the picture and then took them out to mount on the truck without tires....WOW that SC is tough!

He didn’t get the tires just the wheels. I’m saying if you buy the wheel & tire package from the SC with the intention of selling the tires separately.

I'd rather the one that has proper pressure ratings. Which is the same tire.

I wasn't aware that maximum psi was a significant element to look for? I just assumed that if the ratings stamped on the tire are correct, just use recommended psi and you're good. Am I missing something?

Rivian should have 48 psi in the tires. It's possible that might change depending on what tire is selected, but I'd start with that if it's the same size tire as stock.

So the problem is my door placard says 48psi recommended and if a tire has a max psi rating of 44psi i can't get to 48psi safely. Only reason why I was looking for 50 plus psi max tires.

On a side note is the recommended pressure for the 20"at wheels also 48psi? Can Anyone with an r1t that came with 20"at stock content?

The stock psi rating goes out the door as soon as you use non-OEM tires. After that, it's all about the load-rating on whatever tires you're installing, and making sure that load-rating matches or exceeds OEM specs. After that, there's usually some trial and error in finding the ideal psi for wear, comfort and handling.

I'll probably stick somewhere close to 48psi though anyway... this tire and oem tire load ratings are really similar

Can anyone confirm that the 22" wheels come with tires that are 115h load rating?
