  12. Dead pedal factory protective plastic -- how to completely remove?

    Thanks for the input. Here's what I used. Steamer and trim tool to remove plastic. Mild citrus type Goo Gone for remaining glue. I avoided the stronger solvent based adhesive removers (like Goof Off in a metal can) for fear of discoloring the plastic.

    I’m the original poster. I’ve had 2 cameras replaced now for water in the lens. It took longer than expected for both because water traveled up and rusted the wiring harness. I asked them if there was a lack of sealant somewhere and they said no just bad batches of cameras.

    For those that encounter this maybe this will help. There's enough flex in the cap for it to get in there so theres enough to get it out.

    So far my auto cover has worked ok. But now there is a rock stuck under it that creates a new scratch the length of the cover every time i open it. I haven't been able to find any threads or videos on opening up the cap. Just pry? Are there fasteners?

    Nice write-up. Was there a primary charging provider that you utilized in that part of the country? EA? Chargepoint? What kind of charging rates were you finding? Hopefully in the 150 + range - I imagine any 50KW chargers would be painful having to stop that frequently..
