Got these on Thursday, surprised to see the yellow accent. Good fit and material feels good quality.

Thanks for posting. I haven't seen actual R1S photos before. They look pretty good. I really like the rivian customization. I think I'll wait to see how the weathertech mats look before I decide which I'll get.

Probably a part of the preorder. I had one and have deleted it as I would like to have my left foot rest stop also covered. Too much dirt and stuff get caught between the floor mat and carpet in that area without it.

By the time I finally get my S, WeatherTech probably will have one.

Was that an option during preorder? If so I’m sorry I missed that.
Yes, it was part of my pre-order when I confirmed my build.

Are they rubber and pliable or more hard plastic like the weather tech mats?

I just received mine as well. The second row mat got warped during shipping so I have some weight sitting on the warped piece flattening it out for a while. I’ll install them in a few days, hopefully it’ll be flattened out by then.

Interestingly I received an email mentioning Rivian cannot make the mats with the yellow logo anymore a few days before I got the shipment notification, and so I assumed they were the new all-black variant, but I got the ones with the yellow logo.

As for material, they are somewhere between fully rubberized and the plastic Weathertec and Husky use. I guess you would say they are rigid rubber. Long ago I had a pair of one piece diving flippers and the material reminds me of that.

Yes, they feel like a very durable rubberized material, not plastic.

“New Old Stock” R1S mats. The last time I saw yellow-accented AW mats, I had tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time.

If you can, put the warped mat in the sun for a few hours and it should straighten out.

Do the mats have much smell? I've had some rubber mats that smelled really strongly for a long time. The last Weathertec mats I bought had almost no smell.

There was a slight new car smell (to me). After a few days it went away or I got use to it.

Can anyone confirm whether the yellow accent would return in the new year?

My understanding is No as Rivian is moving to the all black variant.
