  1. "Compact spare tires will be available to order in summer of 2023" NOT!

With my luck, I will get a flat on the first long road trip with the R1S if I decide to go without a spare. The two times I needed a spare were on road trips hundreds of miles away from home. GR
  2. Expensive maintenance

I am almost too embarrassed to admit this. I was going to ask if it's okay to use the same washer fluid I have been using on my Hondas! GR
  3. "Compact spare tires will be available to order in summer of 2023" NOT!

Thanks. I guess I will just hold off on making any long trips from home until it becomes available. GR
  4. "Compact spare tires will be available to order in summer of 2023" NOT!

Whenever the compact spare becomes available, will it come as a kit with a jack? Or do we have to purchase an aftermarket jack? GR
  5. Received my $7,500 Tax Refund for Amended 2022 Return!

For those of you who used Turbotax to file the amendment, did you just fire up the software and look for the "amend" option/button? Then, just go to the "EV tax credit section"? Is there a step-by-step guide that I can find so I won't screw this up? GR
  6. Just took R1S delivery! Interesting issues with end of qtr I think...

I am well aware of the real world, but that doesn't make it right. It's this kind of stuff that steered me away from Tesla. If Rivian turns out to be no better, it will be one and done for me. GR
  7. Anyone interested to take delivery of R1S Red, 21" Quad Motor ?

If you are not ready, do NOT confirm your configuration. I am not sure how long you can delay your delivery by not confirming. It seems like Rivian is trying to clear outstanding orders as quickly as possible, so you might be nudged to proceed at some point. GR
  8. Just took R1S delivery! Interesting issues with end of qtr I think...

That shouldn't be used as an excuse. The customers shouldn't be inconvenienced just because they need to fill some quotas. GR
  9. Anyone interested to take delivery of R1S Red, 21" Quad Motor ?

Wishing you luck on your delivery. While it's likely going to be a major pain returning it and lose out on preferential pricing, I would rather do that than get stuck with a vehicle I am unhappy with. From what I have been told, rejecting delivery should preserve pricing and deposit. GR
  10. How much is document fee supposed to be?

Thanks. I guess it's not based on WA rules/laws since you paid more than what was allowed. Perhaps since the transaction is technically based in Illinois, that's what they are basing it on. For states that allow direct sales, then it's whatever stipulated by that state's rules/laws. GR
  11. How much is document fee supposed to be?

I have been told $200. That's the most I have had to paid the last few vehicles I purchased. How much were you charged? GR Edited to add: Just looked this up on dor.wa.gov. How much can the dealer charge for a document service fee? Effective July 26, 2009, a dealer can charge up to $150...
  12. How much is document fee supposed to be?

I am guessing you didn't register in WA. If so, how much were you charged? Is that what was charged to you? If it varies by state based on its registration (vs. purchase), then it should be the amount capped by the state I reside in, correct? GR
  13. Anyone interested to take delivery of R1S Red, 21" Quad Motor ?

Let me clarify a bit of what I have been told. Apparently, once you confirm your configuration, the deposit becomes nonrefundable. You must proceed to take delivery of whatever assigned to you at that point. However, you still have the option of rejecting delivery if the vehicle is unacceptable...
  14. How much is document fee supposed to be?

Is the document fee based on maximum allowed by the state of Illinois or state the vehicle is going to be registered in? Just want to double check since it's almost double the amount capped by the state I reside in. GR
  15. Anyone interested to take delivery of R1S Red, 21" Quad Motor ?

That's not what I have been told multiple times recently. I was told by my guide if I don't take delivery of my assigned R1S within a week or so of it being ready, I will lose my $1K deposit and unmatching VIN is apparently not an option if the vehicle is ready. GR
  16. Cashier's Check for payment in Oregon

It's the same up here in WA as I was told (no cashier's check). That's what led me to seek clarification on the return policy in case I get stuck with one I am not happy with. However, I have read reports of refund (deposits) taking "forever." I won't be thrilled if it takes several months to...
  17. R1S Spare Tire delivery?

Thanks so much! I found that email. Do I need to have that added back to my order/configuration by my guide before I take delivery next week in order not to lose to old pricing? GR
  18. R1S Spare Tire delivery?

I can't remember if I ever added one to my original configuration. Is there a way to find out? Also, has the price increased since? Thanks. GR
