Just thought I’d point out that summer is almost over on September 22, and I still don’t have an official delivery window on my preorder .

I hear you!! The suspense is killing us. We've been in limbo with zero communications since May/June other than we have been promised our delivery window by the "end of summer." Maybe they can rebrand it to "Rivian's Endless Summer..." like the old surf film from 1965.

I'm glad to find others in this boat. I was promised june/july then... crickets. I've spoken twice with CS and they say end of summer. The first guy confirmed that summer officially ends next weds but the most recent one said end of the month. I ordered almost three years ago so hoping relatively soon.

Yes to destination/delivery charges, $1,500.00 (which you might want to keep an eye on if looking stay under the 80K). We are 1240 days and counting

For yucks and grins I looked back at the communication log from our 2012 Leaf purchase. Preorder in Aug 2010. A few emails over the next 10 months with general information. A series of emails from Nissan starting on Jul 19 2011 leading up to the actual order on Aug 3 2011. Order confirmation email on Aug 3 2011 stating that delivery should occur in 3 to 4 months. Three emails in Oct/Nov followed by a Dec email and delivery on 12/22/2011- 4 months and 3 weeks after order confirmation.
Nissan Leaf was the first major rollout of an EV. The process wasn't perfect but it was pretty smooth.
Nissan was of course a well established auto manufacturer and the Leaf production started out at only about 10k per year. Nonetheless, it's 11 years later and a very modern company, Rivian, has underperformed Nissan in its communication.
I'm 100% behind the vehicles and hoping for great success for the company but there is no denying that they have done a terrible job at communicating with their early customers. Nissan was off by 3 weeks on their projected delivery. It's my feeling that LE customers should be receiving a direct email monthly at a minimum- not every 4 to 6 months.
