It happens in Gen 2 vehicles too. I know nothing about the tech aspects of it but having owned both Gen 1 and Gen 2 and having dealt with this issue on both, I blame it on their adaptive cruise control. I was surprised to find the cruise control on the '22 R1S to be inferior to that of our 2018...
similar experience- Model S for 9 years until delivery of my R1S in '22 and I couldn't be happier about it. For people that want a car to drive itself, by all means stay with a Tesla, but if you like driving and like the outdoors the choice is a no brainer.
I'm still getting the "approaching stop lights" warning on the expressways and occasional phantom braking as well even after the last few updates. Does anyone have an idea if this is a system wide problem with the UHF or is it impacting just a few vehicles? When I brought it in for service they...
As far as I know the way to inform Rivian on this is to use the Share Feedback link on the app
I hope they get enough feedback on this so that we can get significant upgrades
it seemed to get rid of a few bugs but the UHF is still really rough in certain instances, particularly dealing with merging vehicles. I'm a big supporter of Rivian but at this point UHF is borderline useless in a lot of driving situations. I still get way too many phantom stops or misreads by...
On my test drive it was quite impressive. A much better ride quality than my Gen2 R1S has and noticeably quieter. It left no doubt in my mind that it's a great vehicle for the $.
Day 1 reservation but yet to get an invite and will order as soon as it comes
it's about Sports...and yes Sports are best when on a live broadcast. It doesn't matter to everyone but it does matter to a group of us. We're not living in the 90's, we're simply sports fans that get nickled and dimed everywhere because we follow the one live media that will always be relevant.
of course you can, but sports' broadcasts , namely NBA, MLB and others are blacked out from these sites. Try to listen to an MLB game today and you'll experience the loop recording on all internet radio links. One must purchase the subscription from MLB or NBA and use their app.
Yeah I use my R1S for adventures but I also use it to drive to work and a radio has been standard in cars for 90 years or so. For those of us who like sports, all local baseball games are blocked from internet radio, so without an FM signal, you can't listen to a game without buying an MLB package.
nor should you. For someone who has recently made a reservation and wants an R2 this calendar year, the odds are they can get one if they're open to the limitations of a LE
Thanks for all the input..and yes this is probably most important, the number of stock options. Driving through Wyoming and getting a flat could be a real pain with trying to find the 21' tires let alone the cost of them
Question, since there some pretty knowledgeable people out there. With the 20" setup being only $1000 more, doesn't it make sense to go with that size even if one prefers all season tires? It just seems that there will be a significant cost savings replacing tires over many years with the 20"...
I had a few phantom braking events on a recent trip 0f 1400 miles and two of them had no apparent reason whatsoever for it. These events are potentially dangerous in certain traffic situations.. Has anyone had improvement after a camera recalibration?
