Rivian Transitioning to Railway Train Transport For Deliveries

I'm taking delivery at the El Segundo SC as well. Started the 8 step process July 6. I'm just waiting for SC to schedule delivery date. I'm hoping my R1T is on the same transport as yours

@Mcfly Rivian is in the same boat as us. Assuming no QC issues, there's a possibility we can take delivery next week.

I just got a text from my guide to complete the 7th step and that my truck arrived at the SC! I'm thinking the rest of us socal train riders should be there as well.

My truck is off the train and in San Francisco at least since Tuesday. But no word from the service center

Someone posted on Seattle FB group that he is going to take deliver next Tuesday, and truck was loaded on train around 7/22. Hope this help a little bit..

I am also waiting on my SC to contact me to schedule delivery. I'm in Phoenix and my time line seems to match a lot of the Cal orders. VIN and 8 steps just over 3 weeks ago. My guide has been giving me very similar updates to a lot of you. I'm just hoping that my truck wasn't on the train to California and then has to get on a truck down to Phoenix. Hopefully they were able to drop it off in route or there was a direct train to Phoenix.

I’m also waiting - Bellevue SC - was loaded sometime between 7/12 - 19 and the train is tentatively arriving today. Fingers crossed!! Am really hoping to pick up this weekend, as unrealistic as that might be.

What does QC involve? I assume they clean it up and make sure basic things are functioning but I wouldn’t think it would take more than a few hours right?

Same boat, Guide says "hoping for update tomorrow" on a delivery date via El Segundo...

Also in AZ waiting for delivery. Loaded on the train around 7/10. The train route through AZ would stop in Flagstaff. No west bound routes out of Phoenix. I would assume they drop off in Flag and truck to the valley. If you get SC contact let me know, I assume we would both be at the same time.

Another data point... 8-point agreement July 19th, was told then Aug 5th (17 days) arrival in San Diego (probably was already in transit with some others here). Guide confirmed today that its in California but his system is 24-hours behind, so should be in SD tomorrow (as scheduled) or possibly first thing next week for my PDI before scheduling delivery.

My guide confirmed today that my truck is in transport to Chelsea (MA), but did not specify if it was by rail or not. Any other east coasters with trucks in transit? I asked him when I should change my effective date of insurance coverage to and he said next wednesday (10th) would be a realistic option (and may be sooner), which seems to me to be pretty optimistic.
