My Guide just responded and said that the ETA to Costa Mesa is tomorrow. We will see!
Plus, how long will the PDI process take?

I can't speak for Rivian, but supposedly a few years ago when I ordered my 2019 Wrangler, Jeep still used trucks for deliveries within 8 hours of the factory. On the forums some people had to wait weeks or months for delivery by rail.![]()
They’re not all going by train. I saw this at a rest stop on I70 in Ohio yesterday.
Also California. Locked config and VIN on July 7. 87xx. Arrived in SSF three weeks later. (Was it already in transit when I picked it out of the shop? Maybe...) SC needs a few days to make sure it's ready for pickup. My pickup scheduled for this coming Saturday. Good luck!I'm jealous of people getting information out of their guides about the status of their trucks. Glad I found this thread, now I know why it's taking so long. All I've been told is it's built and in transit, no eta. Had 8 steps and a vin for 13 days, july 10th. El segundo SC. Vin 8400
According to my guide, truck should be arriving in SSF anytime this week. Did the SC call you to schedule delivery just after it arrived? Sounds like they’re still doing QC on it?Also California. Is that Launch Green?!? Why didn't you go grab a Vin off that thing? I'd love some evidence they're still making the color!![]()

I just received my confirmation yesterday for my R1T in Launch Green. So they better still be making the color. Is that Launch Green?!? Why didn't you go grab a Vin off that thing? I'd love some evidence they're still making the color!
It was a launch green, forest green, el cap and red canyon. I was more focused on on the red canyon as that’s what I have configured. The RC had the forest edge interior. Is that Launch Green?!? Why didn't you go grab a Vin off that thing? I'd love some evidence they're still making the color!
They’ll stop making launch green when all the launch green LEs are built, which obviously hasn’t happened yet(R1S, too after all)Is that Launch Green?!? Why didn't you go grab a Vin off that thing? I'd love some evidence they're still making the color!
I have a Launch Green in route via rail right now, should arrive to the SC this week. Though my vin is super low, 1276.Yeah, I don't disagree but, I'm specifically thinking about the R1T. I just haven't seen many delivered recently (took a look at the delivered list too). Rivian works in mysterious ways...
I'm also a casualty of this new rail delivery where I kept being told it's en route for weeks and still no ETA. They told me this rail transport has been a nightmare with cars getting stuck for weeks at some locations. That certainly seems to be the case for mine. They think realistically still another 2-3 weeks before it gets here. It’s been 22 days since my guide said the truck left Normal for SoCal. Today he just said it’s still in transit. Didn’t know the location but he “hoped for updates this week”
I'm taking delivery at the El Segundo SC as well. Started the 8 step process July 6. I'm just waiting for SC to schedule delivery date. I'm hoping my R1T is on the same transport as yoursUpdate from Guide this morning is my truck has passed through Riverside, but has not reached El Segundo SC yet. Tomorrow would be the 3 week mark of when it was built.
