How does one turn the radio off? I have a volume control, but unable to find an off switch anywhere for the audio/entertainment system. Please enlighten me.
Great info. Thanks for sharing. May I ask what the temps were around your R1t for this period? I am trying to see if battery cooling can wake up the car and if that may have been a part of your 1 Kwh (2 mile) loss. May be owners in cooler climate can duplicate your setup and report.

It seems like so far around 1 Kwh/day is the limit of what owners have achieved (which is much better than +4 Kwh that has been reported). I hope others can beat your record, and share how, otherwise we will be at Rivian's mercy to break the 1 Kwh barrier.

Edit: If Rivian can't fix it, there seem to be a third party solution:

Truck sits outside under a carport and was about 87 degrees at 11 pm to 101 at 6 pm, then was 77 degrees this morning when i checked the estimated range.

I have a feeling at some point Rivian may decide in order to shut us up and look better, to cut off the main pack when the vehicle is sleep and use the juice in 12V battery to do it's thing at night and report zero phantom loss. Then the next day when you are driving the car, juice up the battery like any ICE would and just show the hit in your efficiency and range while you are driving. With some safeguards so if 12V starts to get critical while napping, connect the main pack and rejuice. It is not fixing the problem but doing a bit of creative accounting VW style. I have to admit if I wake up in the morning and see the same range, then truck change it's mind and drop the range by a mile or two while I am driving, it does not feel as bad as it would, if it was honest with me to begin with. It is a philosophical thing, do you think total honesty is good for your relationship with your R1?

This is what they do but not to look better. They do monitor the SoC of the 12V battery and whenever it gets low the DC/dc converter kicks on and recharges it. This will be counted as phantom drain if it occurs when the truck is not it D or R.

I don’t know this for a fact, it is pure speculation; If what they do now is turn on the juicing process when 12V battery drops from 100% to 90% during sleep time. They could change the process and only turn on the juicer when the 12V battery hit 40% and juice only to 50% during rest and to 100% when in D or R. By doing this, you will see 0.25 Kwh improvement in phantom drain figures (I think each 12V battery was 21 A). They will look better a tiny bit, we feel better a tiny bit without change in the actual power consumption due to none driving uses. Unless this was included in the last OTA and they are already doing it.

Most EVs do this, but not for the reason you think. The Electronics/computer typically run off 12v. The charger just kicks on when 12v gets too low.

12v Battery probably wouldn't last as long due to the constant deep cycles.

I thought you are safe over 40%
I'm not sure what the cutoff is for a non-deep cycle battery, but deep cycle RV's typically are stay above 50%. I'm guessing best longevity is just top-cycling, 25% at best.

Heres's a random graph from the interwebs on depth of discharge on lead acid AGM (lead acid is likely worse) 30% seems favorable to me.

My observation on my truck which was delivered 10 days ago. 65% SOC and 201 miles range on display. Gear guard, WiFi, Proximity locking, climate controls all off. Rivian phone app shut down. Doors locked. Truck 100 feet away from me in a detached garage. 18 hours later I have 64% SOC and 198 miles indicated range so just a 3 mile range loss. Ambient temps around 70 deg.

That represents a loss of a little over 1 kWh - just about the full capacity of a 100 Ah-12V lead acid battery.
