I had that enabled and still didn't get this email. Like someone else said maybe just people who have their R1T or are close to delivery got them.
As a reference point, I take delivery tomorrow and did not receive the email either. It's the first email I haven't received.

At $4,500 I’m probably going to do it. The one e-quote I got for a shop in SLC was $11,400. That was a bit rich for my blood.

As a note: Took delivery a few weeks ago, received the email the other day, did the online request, nothing yet....

Was at a car show this morning, one of the areas more reputable Xpel installers was there. Asked about the Rivian program, they were aware of it but were not happy about it and said they had no intention of participating. They are at $2,100 for the front clip, didn't ask about the full matte wrap.

They also started to make lots of noises about "Xpel is going to devalue their product..." and "it can't possibly be an edge wrap for that price..." etc. etc.

Will be curious to see if I get *any* shop referrals from my request, and if it just turns into a sales pitch for the local wrap shop to just tell me how I'm going to have to spend more to get it done properly.

I fully expect the upsale. Even if Rivian kicks in some money, most shops will try to sell you additional stuff (even if it’s included). The easy one will be the longer warranty if you don’t go with the Rivian deal.

I suspect I've already answered this question, but I want to confirm with those that have had xPel applied to their vehicles; does having xPel film allow one to take their vehicle through some of the "scrubbing" automated carwashes that are notorious for finely scratching vehicle paint? I've had a front wrap on a vehicle before but obviously avoided them like the plague because the rest of the vehicle was exposed. I'd consider having protection from fine scratches a huge benefit if it allows me to take my vehicle to those automatic carwashes simply out of convenience. Hand washing a vehicle is too time consuming for me (it's an increasingly valuable and short commodity these days), especially on a large vehicle like the R1T/S.

Are there any places near you that offer hand washing instead of automatic washes? I would say you would be much better off with PPF with automatic washes however I find that places that hand wash is the best compromise. In NYC there are a bunch of reputable hand wash places.

Getting PPF on forward facing parts this week....had no idea corporate headquarters for Xpel was here in San Antonio...an interesting thing I was told by the manager is that the packages with Rivian do not wrap the edges....the clear film is just applied similarly to the gear tunnel doors.

I had my PPF done by XPEL in Dallas, Texas. All the badges on the car came back cockeyed and crooked. Had some slices in the PPF in some places also. Some corners were not done correctly. It feels like the installer hated electric cars or something. Maybe they were ICE truck owners also. There is no way someone can install an emblem that badly, unless its their first day on the job.

Yup, that's about it. The longer the PPF is on the car, the less likely it'll come off in complete pieces, but everything underneath should be pristine. I've asked for more info on the stealth wrap; had that on a Model 3, which we ended up only keeping for a year, but loved the look of it. Prices around these parts would normally be ~$6k for an Xpel wrap.
I was quoted 6k as well.

Was it Xpel themselves, or a wrap shop? Would be curious to know who, just so I can avoid them.

XPEL the company performed the PPF.
I dont live in Dallas, Texas and have been on a road trip for a month.
Seeing this everyday has been a headache.

Wondering why this could have happened.
Installer a Raptor, Jeep, Deisel, TRX owner?

Finally got to a friends garage and debadged the entire car last nite myself.

Looking at the pictures now of this negligence has me in shock.
Glad its off the car.

XPEL did offer to fix the issues, but i was in remote parts of Idaho and Montana.

Hope to see them or a partner of theirs soon to fix the rest.

So, you accepted it like that when you picked it up? I'm confused.
