Agreed. I am also one that likes to drive later into the night to beat traffic and at those times the fast food places that were open late or are 24/7 were live savers.
Such a cringe post. I am all for shaming Rivian owners who drive recklessly, park like a moron, or show bad charging etiquette but calling on shaming someone for where they stop to get food is uncalled for.
That is also assuming this person was actually getting food at Subway. Maybe they...
I feel like Rivian made a smart move changing this in their production models to having a normal 20" wheel and having aero 21s.
The aero covers won't really make a difference on the 20s and some testing shows that they barely make a difference on the 21s being on or off so there really isn't a...
I'm in a similar situation as you except my guide has been pretty responsive. I got my VIN and 8 steps about 18 days ago and I'm still waiting for step 8 to open up. My VIN is 109XX and every time I ask my guide for a status update they don't really have much other than it's at the service...
I'm waiting to take delivery and I have the standard 20" ATs speced. However before I was willing to take the 20 Brights just because of these vinyl pieces being available. I'm not a fan of the brights and the darks aren't worth the upcharge so these were an option for me if for some reason the...
I doubt you will get called to the shop or be selected for a VIN anytime soon with an order placed today. So a 2022 delivery is highly unlikely unfortunately, especially for a config under 80k since that involves getting the dual motor/standard battery which are not on the timeline until 2024...
However vinyl is usually much thinner than PPF and doesn't have the self-healing properties of a proper PPF film. That's why a sheet of quality PPF is much more expensive than vinyl. I guess vinyl can offer some protection against light scratches but I've seen rock chips go straight through...
How much more difficult is it to get in the R1T at the lowest suspension height compared to a standard SUV/crossover (CR-V, Rav4, etc...)?
I am 6'1" so it won't be an issue for me but my wife is 5'2" so I am just concerned she will struggle trying to get in. I can always get in first and make...
Yup I am always worried about door dings as well. It will just bother me knowing it's there even if it can barely be seen.
I always try to hard at the back of the lot away from everyone and find a corner spot if possible but some jackass always will park right next to me and be over the line...
Thanks for the write up. I am not a huge fan of really dark tinted lights so I was thinking about either getting the clear headlights/taillights with yellow fogs but also was thinking the light smoke 70% would be also be a good option.
Also want to hear from Rivian on this unless someone else takes delivery of OC soon. The black speakers look horrible so I'm hoping the one from RJ's tweet is a early test model or something.
Again with these emails that never get sent to me for whatever reason. Or did this just go out to anyone with Explorer configs or those that had OC selected?
Might not be the case really if Rivian is saying that the pick rate was really low to begin with. So you have a small number of people who had explorer prior to you and an even smaller amount of people that would decide to switch to Adventure.
It's a 2k option for post march 1 preorders. Seems a bit odd to charge 2k now that the trim is the same, making it the same price as FE. It would be better to make it a 1k upgrade instead for the newer orders.
I got confirmation as well but I cancelled and reinstated in March so I had to agree for them to take the $1000 again. This is the email I got so I don't think those that didn't cancel/reinstate in March got this:
Hi ,
Thank you for submitting your $1,000 deposit. It has been received...
Hopefully everyone that were willing to sign the agreement did so up until last night. Now I'd like Rivian to tell us if their battery qualifies for the new credit rules.
No limit on either. The only limits under the old rules were that it needs to be within the company's 200,000 vehicle before the credit starts to phase out and the battery needs to be at least 16kWh to get the full credit.
A rear tow hitch mounted plow would be the best option imo. Works on a lot of ICE cars (even smaller hatchbacks) so it should be no problem for the Rivian especially if you just as much power in reverse as you do going forward.
