The worst problem is the passenger side rear door is stamped such that it sticks out nearly 1/4" past the back edge of the front door but only in the vertical center section of the leading edge of the door.

Driver side isn't perfect, but I can deal with it. No amount of moving the two doors around will get this to work since the actual curve of the door is just out more on the rear door, so I don't know how it can be fixed other than a new door. I sent it in to their support email last Tuesday and other than them calling to acknowledge they got the email, I haven't heard anything about what they will be able to do to resolve it or when.

The tailgate is the other spot that's pretty poor. The tailgate itself is in slightly crooked (leans to the right), but also the bottom left corner is tucked in nearly 1/4". The other side is just right. Also the light bar on the tailgate isn't in perfectly.

I think lots of people have issues with the front windows sealing. On mine, the seal that should be on the outside of the window when it's shut rolls in and gets smashed by the window when it closes. I have to use a card to guide it back to the outside of the glass where it's supposed to be when it does that to get it closed properly again. And just yesterday the auto up function on just the drivers window stopped working. Auto up and down works on all other windows but only auto down is working on the driver one.

I've had the adaptive cruise control just randomly be unavailable a couple times, but lately has been behaving again.

One of my gear tunnel doors comes down very slowly (you almost need to pull it down) and the other doesn't slam down or anything but comes down pretty quickly. Anyone else's like that? Wouldn't send it in for service just for that, but whenever they deal with the other stuff, I wouldn't mind more consistency in the behavior of those.

Every time I see these posts I am bummed for the early adopters but it also gives me some hope that my eventual truck will be better sorted as a result of these call outs. Then again if the panels aren’t being stamped right, they have fairly significant assembly issues that might not be solved soon.

I have similar issues with right side of tailgate was lower and similar door issue. Service said they took care of both. My door was not lined up with the crease and bigger gap looking from the side at top than bottom. Must have been same crew putting ours together. How's your hood alignment?

My passenger rear door suffers from a similar problem, though it's a lot more even than yours is. Service is going to try to address it.

So did your issues get resolved?

my hood alignment isn’t perfect but it’s pretty good. I’m not upset about that. The passenger side bumper isn’t great where it connects to the front right fender, but it’s also not the end of the world.

Well…Service manager said resolved. I still don’t have vehicle back yet to confirm. Had some paint issues they are addressing and that’s taking some time.

Well, I’m rooting for you to get a good fix since I need the same!

none of this is preventing me from driving the truck, so I really don’t want to have to give it up for awhile for them to fix it, but I’m sure I will. Maybe I can schedule it for when I’m out of town for a week.

Mine is exactly the same. I haven't contacted support yet. I'm going to wait until the Dallas Service Center opens.

can you actually refuse delivery for these issues? and if so, what happens and how long do you think you'd have to wait? would they send you a new vehicle or just try to fix the issues?

I wonder about that. I also wonder how long it’ll take them to work these kinks out. Considering they’re supply constrained and actually still building pretty slowly, the quality control on basic stuff like body fitment probably should be better.

The interior is very well put together, though. My only gripe inside is some weird wrinkles on the steering wheel. There might be a very very slight imperfection in the stitching on the dash, but otherwise the interior is flawlessly assembled and the materials are top notch.

Welcome to early production. Prices to pay for being "early adopters". Hopefully Rivian will have a way to fix, at least, most of the issues.

You can refuse delivery with a Tesla. Ask me how I know.

I refused a Model Y delivery and Tesla ordered me a fresh replacement vehicle due to the 1st vehicle having some cosmetic paint issues from the factory.

Mine is exactly the same...they said it was fixed as well. There was also a "burn" in the paint where it looked like someone tired to buff out a bubble in the paint where this piece meets the fender, so fixing that too...along with hood needing repainting...which is why it has been at the body shop.

If your door is legit misshapen like that get ahold of your guide and ask for a new truck.

even if they replace the door they would have to repaint half the truck to blend the new paint. Major body work on a new truck should not be a solution, not without major compensation.
I know the truck is sweet, I love mine too , but you should not have to deal with this.
Sorry pal. Bumms me out that Rivian is letting the crap slip through.
