I still have this annoying noise on my Gen 2, talked to phone support and he said he hadn't heard of this issue, so I did some searching and there's a service bulletin for it: RSB-56-26-002-1
Not really a solution, it's just them saying to use the wildly expensive Krytox 205 grease to lubricate...
I’m fine with Rivian charging for data connectivity, and I have paid and will continue to pay for as long as I have a Rivian, but this is where the lack of CarPlay / Android Auto becomes more ridiculous for those that don’t want to pay.
Glad to see the old thread still getting some posts. About to be the 3rd boating season since Rivians have been out, time flies.
I’ve got a new Rivian and a new boat now that I need to get a pic of and post.
I just traded my 22 R1T for a 23 R1S and the in house sound system is definitely quite a step back from the Meridian. Hopefully some of it is tunable DSP stuff that can improve via OTA, but I think it's just inferior hardware that will ultimately hold it back from ever being as good as the Meridian.
I'm curious why you're so negative on this video when I think it's objectively interesting to see how the new battery pack charges compared to the old one. If that isn't interesting to you, it's kind of weird you bothered to watch it in the first place. I'd say a larger capacity battery (that...
Ugh, I’ve been waiting to deal with taking my truck down to Orlando for this, which i’m very concerned won’t be able to be done in the 2 days I am hoping to give them the truck so I won’t have to take a loaner home to Tallahassee and come back later to swap. Their system for scheduling service...
So there are all sorts of regulations for lights and tesla got in trouble for their custom horn sounds, but there are no rules for how loud a horn has to be? That’s easy to measure, too.
The double horns in the original setup aren’t especially loud, I can’t imagine what it is with half the power. I get cutting costs, but some of this seems like low hanging fruit only because they designed a lot of the major structures and systems in ways that are inefficient to manufacture at...
EOH is way smoother than surge, but the surge works. If I end up getting a new trailer built or buy a new boat and trailer, I’ll probably go back to EOH.
It should show the right average regardless of the display itself clipping, which I’m fine with. Having it peg the number at 4 just because that’s the scale of the graph is poor programming.
I’ve tried conserve a couple times and I find the truck pretty lethargic, plus you don’t even have the option of all wheel drive and full power if you need it quickly. What sort of miles per kWh have you gotten running like that?
I assumed a max pack R1T quad would have been well over $100k when I made my day 1 deposit. Maybe $115k. That would have made sense compared to tesla model X pricing. When the original price announcement came out I was pleasantly surprised, but also assumed they would have to cheapen the vehicle...
my early R1T (vin 3111) gets water in the doors after a car wash or a lot of rain and I thought something was wrong but it drains pretty quickly and the sloshing stops. I think I just kept hearing it after pulling out of the car wash and thought there was something wrong.
Whether it’s a true standard or not, they have released the specs for it and they have a ton of vehicles and chargers out there now using it successfully every day. The idea of a “standard” sounds good but at the end of the day comparing the two connectors, one is much better than the other AND...
might have just been wanting to try out their CCS adapter. I've seen some Teslas pull in to charge at EA chargers and say they were just making sure it worked.
I talked to one guy charging a Tesla at an EA station and he told me he did it because he had another EV with included charging and that EA isn't currently ID'ing the vehicle, so the free charging is just on your account and when you activate a charge with your app it's free even when it's your...
