  1. R1S Rear, Driver-Side Door Very Difficult to Close

The door is not installed properly. I was probably not set up correctly in the factory and the delivery center or end of line team just hammered the door catch up or down to force the door and body lines to come together. Regardless there is metal fatigue happening on the door or hinges. At...
  2. Any insights into how Rivian Quality Control is actually implemented?

Q: So someone actually test drives and inspects the vehicles after they come off the line? A: ...well no, my secretary... I mean...sometimes...
  3. Alignment, hitting bumps, and off center steering wheel

It is such a shame trucks are still coming off the line like this after over a year of reports on this issue. There are too many members on here reporting steering wheel off-center, pulling to the right, or Rivian aligned my truck and it's a little better but not perfect, Rivian says it's "Road...
  4. Plastic seat trim separating

That part of the seat trim is hinged... put the thigh bolster (front of the seat) down on the seat control and it will line up. It's supposed to do that.
  5. Camp speaker randomly waking up while docked?

Happened on my truck since day one back in March. No fix. item 137 on todays glitch list
  6. Contact phone number for Bellevue WA. service center?

it's a secret number... you're not allowed to know it. The desired experience requires you to call the call center then they call you back when they have time.
  7. It is exhausting driving my R1T (alignment & steering issues)

1 day on FB Marketplace, sold it to some wholesale guy who supplies dealers and high end used car shops.
  8. It is exhausting driving my R1T (alignment & steering issues)

I had the exact issue and frustration you are describing. They tried alignments, inspections of the motors and suspension, motor calibration, sensor replacement... I finally gave up and sold it. Polite kids working at the call center and at the service center but don't seem to understand that...
  9. Service suspension Soon ( speed limited to 33mph)

Pulled to the right, couldnā€™t correct after several alignments. Sagged on the right front, clicking/clunking, every time the truck came back with some small damage.
  10. Corner of Frunk Hitting When Opening/Closing

With body work you canā€™t just adjust one panel otherwise you just move the problem. They probably need to relax the fenders a bit and shift tue hood forward a bit. I wouldnā€™t let the Rivian service techs do it. Have a trusted body shop with a 5 star yelp rating (or Porsche certification) do the...
  11. Service suspension Soon ( speed limited to 33mph)

The hype wonā€™t last foreverā€¦and now seems like the quality issues are catching up to the hype. If you have a spare set of wheels and have time to burn dealing with the repairs and most likely some decent recalls then keep it. For me my time is worth more and I didnā€™t want an $80k science...
  12. Service suspension Soon ( speed limited to 33mph)

Sold my truck after the 5th service call. Really nice people at Rivian with good intentionsā€¦but poor execution
  13. Corner of Frunk Hitting When Opening/Closing

your Hood an fenders are not installed properly. Those gaps are two tight up at the corners of the hood. I had to send my truck in twice for this before they kinda got it better. Had to take of the whole front end of the truck (bumper/grill, both fenders and hood) and reinstall. Added some...
  14. R1T doesn't shut down

    Word to the streets yo
  15. Service suspension Soon ( speed limited to 33mph)

Sounds about like my experience..multiple times... When they dropped it off supposedly repaired the Rivian rep said ā€œweā€™re really proud of how it turned outā€ šŸ˜‚. Immediately noticed a dent and big scratch in the fender from some amateur who pried the bed rail trim off to service the bed cover...
  16. Rivian R1T CV axle failure missed by service center

The service centers have a bit too much...what I call... "Assuming with Certainty" It's a new vehicle and as we all get reminded...we should expect some defects and issues that will require new iterations of parts. So why can't Rivian Service have the same attitude... seems like they are just...
  17. My first service journey.

Sorry to hear this, I went through similar challenges. My rig went in 5 times to service...they could not resolve the alignment and sagging on the right side issue. I finally sold the truck because the whole service process was a bit of a circle "j". Super nice people on the phone but no...
