Yeah agreed. I didn't even agree to buy the truck until 7 days ago and it is already ready to schedule delivery.

Yep. And if a 2018 LE order holder had a RB/BM truck configured and then declined to go through with it I assume they would just assign that truck to the next person on the list with that same configuration. That is what I am saying.

I’m pretty sure they aren’t building trucks for specific people period at this point. My theory is that they built a bunch of common configs from Jan to Mar and sent them all over the country to delivery centers. Now they are just matching them to people nearby. That is why people with preorders 2 years later are getting delivery first.

This is my assumption too. They probably just built vehicles before matching any of them to preorders. Easier to build with the parts you have and without having to build to spec.

Definitely willing to meet with you guys. I hope to have mine in less than a week. Guide said last he could see it was getting ready to get on train from normal. But I really wonder if that picture above is mine. Who knows. Either way. Should be soon now.

Spoke with my guide today. Super friendly Key info is as follows.
If I switch to Black Mountain interior I can have my truck next week.
ocean Coast is still targeted for delivery in April May timeframe
Gear shuttle is delayed will be delivered when available at original pricing.
Going to Venice hub tomorrow to see the vehicle, I have seen two on the streets here in California already.
Will decide on seeing the interiors if I am waiting. I probably am.

At the request of my guide last week, I took the camp kitchen and rooftop tent off my order yesterday. Signed the preliminary buyers guide and then got access to finalize all the steps of the order. Still waiting on my insurance co but if I wasn't on vaction, I could actually have scheduled delivery of the truck for tomorrow afternoon.
No delivery times on the calendar for next week so I'm not completely sure how this is going to go.

Anyone have insight on time to guide contact from configurator lock? With dump of Limestone photos yesterday I wanted to switch color. Surprised to find configuration locked. Haven’t heard from guide yet.

I wouldn't say that it is dysfunctional, or even all that uncommon. They build what they have a documented demand and supplies for.
