This was how it started with me. Eventually, the issue escalated to the point that I could not even initiate a charge. I believe my intermittent failures started 2 months before a complete failure.

I wanted to post an update to this thread. I had my electrician inspect the connections and everything checked out fine. I had him replace the aluminum line from the breaker to the charger with copper and this, of course, did not solve the problem. Thankfully, Rivian service was quick to respond...

As others have mentioned, they’ve required photographs of install. Trust me this thought went through my head. I’d prefer to work with them in good faith. Really this was attempt to get opinion of someone other than Rivian or my electrician

Thanks for advice. Electrician confirmed no-ox connections used. I’ll have him make sure nothing has loosened. Wiring was done when house was constructed 4 years ago so that was inspected. Thanks for feedback. I’ll press Rivian.

I have a similar install except the splice between 4 gauge aluminum and 6 gauge copper is happening inside the box. Now having charging issues with the unit and am being told by Rivian that wire needs to be swapped to copper before they'll entertain idea of unit failure. FYI in case you have...
