R2 at Venice Beach Block Party (Catalina Cove, Launch Green, Half Moon Grey, Glacier White, Midnight Black)

R2 displayed in great new colors. The Venice Beach, California location is brand new and beautiful. Got to sit in the new R2, one of 5 on display. This car changes EVERYTHING. Very exciting.

That location isn't new btw. It's basically the original Rivian Spaces location.

I believe that's the same Venice location I saw the R1S in person for the first time.

Sadly, no white interior to check out.

Neither of those were there. They did have 2 vehicles open for people to get into, line was pretty long and they were giving people a few minutes each so we opted not to sit in them.

Attended today after driving from Phoenix yesterday. Great event, very helpful staff. Word is full scale production has begun. Reserved one on day one. Can’t wait for configurations to begin. Keep up the good work Rivian.

This was my Biggest take away also! Its so dark in the shade and bright in the daylight.

I don't know if many saw it but the standard black interior vs signature is a big difference. Standard has the following differences:

No wood on dash.
Light headliner
black stitching vs Brown / grey on the seating.

In the middle of the main R2 page on the website, you can switch between interiors and scroll around. I just noticed that difference today when i was rotating around in their interior view.

Very disappointed they only had one R2 open to sit in while I was there. When I was there just before 11am the wait to sit in it was about an hour. Ridiculous.

The outside of R2 looked great and the size is just about perfect for my needs. I am looking forward to doing a test drive.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been clicking back and forth between the interior colors a lot. Never realized that you can scroll around. Nice! Great tip!
